However, when the filler is injected after the aluminum sleeve is pulled back to the specified position as described above, the inner diameter of the aluminum sleeve is made larger than the outer diameter of the electric wire (if the outer diameter of the electric wire is d and the inner diameter of the aluminum sleeve is D, then D = 1.02d).
+0.8), there was a problem that the filler was not sufficiently filled between the stranded wire layers and flowed out from between the aluminum sleeve and the electric wire.

If the aluminum sleeve is compressed without sufficient filler being filled between the stranded wire layers, voids will form inside the aluminum sleeve, and moisture that penetrates into these voids will freeze in winter, causing the aluminum sleeve to break.

Another known conventional method involves filling a cup or tube having an inside diameter slightly larger than the outside diameter of the stranded conductor with a fatty acid-metal mixture (filler), inserting the end of the stranded conductor into it, allowing the filler to flow between the layers of the stranded conductor, and then inserting it into a compression sleeve and compressing the sleeve (see, for example, Japanese Patent Publication No. 1959-130).

However, with this method, the inner diameter of the cup or tube is made larger than the outer diameter of the stranded conductor, so similar to the above-mentioned conventional example, the filler flows out from between the cup or tube and the stranded conductor and cannot be filled sufficiently, resulting in the formation of voids in the compression sleeve.

SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT DISCLOSURE ... The present invention has been made in consideration of the above problems, and provides a method for connecting a stranded conductor which does not cause a void in a compression sleeve.

以下本発明の一実施例を第2図および第3図を参照して
詳細に説明する。

2 and 3 show a case where a steel-core aluminum strand is used as the stranded conductor. First, a tube 7 made of, for example, rubber is attached to the end of the steel-core aluminum strand 1 so as to be in close contact with the outer periphery of the wire.
As shown in the figure, the mouth 8 can be turned over so as to project outward from the end of the steel-core aluminum stranded wire 1.

Next, a filler injector 9 is attached to the mouth 8 of the tube 7 and a filler 10 is injected, filling the filler 10 between each of the stranded wire layers from the end face of the steel-core aluminum stranded wire 1 .

In this case, the length of the portion of the steel-core aluminum stranded wire 1 that is covered by the tube 7 is made slightly shorter than the entire length of the portion that is inserted into the aluminum sleeve 5, as is clear from Figures 2 and 3, and the filler 10 is filled between each of the stranded wire layers at least along the entire length of the end of the steel-core aluminum stranded wire 1 that is positioned within the aluminum sleeve 5.

Thereafter, the aluminum sleeve 5, which has been previously inserted onto the aluminum stranded wire layer 2, is pulled back to a predetermined position so as to cover the steel sleeve 4 and the ends of the aluminum stranded wire layer 2, and the aluminum sleeve 5 is compressed along the longitudinal direction to form a connection as shown in Figure 3.

5In the above embodiment, the filler was injected before the steel core was protruded so that the filler could be filled between the steel cores, which are less likely to be crushed when the aluminum sleeve is compressed. However, the filler may be injected from the end of the aluminum stranded wire layer after the steel core is protruded.

Furthermore, in this embodiment, the aluminum sleeve was compressed after being pulled back to a specified position, but if an aluminum sleeve having a filler injection port is used as in the conventional method, and the aluminum sleeve is pulled back to a specified position, and additional filler is injected through the filler injection port, voids within the aluminum sleeve can be removed more reliably.

In addition, in this embodiment, the length of the tube covering the steel-core aluminum stranded wire is different from the overall length of the end of the steel-core aluminum stranded wire positioned within the aluminum sleeve, but it may be the same length.

Furthermore, in the embodiment, the present invention has been described as being applied to a steel-core aluminum stranded wire, but the present invention can also be applied to an all-aluminum stranded wire, an all-copper stranded wire, or the like.

As described above, the present invention provides a method for connecting a stranded conductor by inserting the stranded conductor into a compression sleeve and compressing the compression sleeve, which method comprises covering the end of the stranded conductor with a tube that is in close contact with the outer periphery of the conductor so that its mouth protrudes outward from the stranded conductor end, injecting a filler from the tube base and filling the filler between each of the stranded wire layers over at least the entire length of the end of the stranded conductor that is positioned within the compression sleeve, inserting the stranded conductor end into the compression sleeve, and then compressing the compression sleeve along the longitudinal direction.

したがって、本発明によれば撚線導体の端部に、これの

Therefore, according to the present invention, a tube that is in close contact with the outer periphery of the end of the stranded conductor is placed over it, and filler is injected from the mouth of the tube into the inside from the end face of the stranded conductor, so that the filler does not leak out and is reliably filled between each twisted layer over the entire length of the end of the stranded conductor that is positioned within the compression sleeve.

Therefore, there are no voids in the sleeve after compression.

Therefore, moisture does not penetrate into the compression sleeve, and damage to the compression sleeve due to freezing can be prevented.
