However, none of these methods were perfect and could not completely prevent printing stains caused by deposits.

The paper is arranged in an endless manner on the surface of the printing paper as it moves in a predetermined direction, and along the way, it passes through washing water and is kept in a suitable water-containing state by a squeezing roller. The wiping member made of the hydrophilic substance is brought into contact with the printing paper while being moved in a direction opposite to the direction in which the printing paper is running.

After the paper has been squeezed, it is brought into contact with the printing paper 1 while being moved in the direction of arrow B, that is, in the opposite direction to the direction of travel of the printing paper 1, to remove and clean paper dust and the like on the surface of the printing paper 1. be.

Since the wiping member made of a hydrophilic substance in a water-containing state is brought into contact with the printing paper while running in the opposite direction to the running direction of the printing paper, most of the deposits such as paper powder adhering to the surface of the printing paper can be removed. Not only can it be completely removed, but it is also extremely inexpensive and easy to handle because it uses water, which was previously not used in printing paper due to its problems such as decreased tensile strength, expansion and contraction, and curling. Moreover, since the wiping member is endless, it not only contributes to resource saving, but also because it is constantly washed with washing water, it is possible to remove and clean the deposits on the surface of the printing paper over a long period of time. It only requires replacing the washing water from time to time, and its maintenance costs are extremely low.
