A non-metallic covering member that covers the core member is used, and the distal edges of both side walls of the core member are engaged with stepped portions protruding from the inner surfaces of both side walls of the covering member through vibration absorbing materials. Therefore, when the door is opened, closed, and reversed, chatter noise will not be generated at the contact area between the covering member and the core member, and the tip edges of both side walls of the core member can be appropriately shifted from the antenna plate position. By doing so, the detectable range can be arbitrarily selected and set using this antenna plate, and the structure is simple and can be implemented easily and inexpensively.
