As shown in Figure 1, on the surface of a natural wood veneer with a grain pattern obtained from such ring-hole material, there are many shallow and short grooves 1 caused by large conduits at the boundaries of annual rings ( It appears along the fiber direction in the summer wood part) 2 and constitutes the holes 3.

That is, a sliced veneer is made by slicing a piece of wood in which large ducts are densely distributed, and as shown in FIG. A set of two plates 6 is stacked alternately, and these are pressed together using formworks 7 and 8 whose suppressing surfaces are curved as shown in the figure, and then laminated and bonded to form a structure as shown in FIG. 3. A decorative veneer with a grain pattern as shown in Fig. 1 is manufactured by making a flitch 9 with a similar shape and slicing it almost parallel to the laminated surface of the flitch 9 as shown by arrow A in Fig. 3. was.

In these cases, in order to expose the holes on the surface of the veneer, the sliced veneer 5 used must be laid with a straight grain (otherwise, the grooves caused by the conduit will be formed on the surface of the veneer). However, when attempting to obtain this veneer 5 by slicing, there was a problem in that the yield was extremely poor.

Furthermore, instead of the sliced veneer 5, a rotary veneer (always straight-grained) obtained by cutting a piece of wood in which large conduits are densely distributed using a rotary lace has also been used.

However, when cutting wood with densely distributed large conduits using a rotary race, unlike when cutting by slicing, it is not possible to reduce the thickness of the wood, resulting in a rotary veneer.

Therefore, it becomes difficult to bend the rotary veneer when fritting the flitch, and when slicing the flitch to obtain a decorative veneer, the decorative veneer formed by the thick rotary veneer becomes difficult to bend. The width between the holes was thicker than that of natural veneers, making the resulting decorative veneer look unnatural.

This invention was made in view of these five circumstances. A rotary veneer is made by cutting wood in which large-diameter conduits are densely distributed, and the rotary veneer is aligned in the direction in which the conduits run. A plurality of rotary veneers are stacked together using adhesive, and this laminate is pressed to create a first flitch, and this first flitch is sliced along the direction in which the rotary veneer conduit runs to create thin slices of the rotary veneer. A veneer is made, and this sliced veneer is combined with a material veneer in which small-diameter conduits are roughly distributed in a predetermined ratio, coated with adhesive, stacked, and this laminate is pressed together. By creating a second flitch and slicing this second flitch, a decorative veneer with a ring-hole appearance is obtained.

That is, in this invention, a plurality of thick rotary veneers obtained by a conventional method are laminated and bonded to form a flitch, which is then sliced to create a thin, straight-grain sliced veneer. Since the decorative veneer with a ring-hole appearance is manufactured using veneers, the decorative veneer is easy to manufacture, and the manufactured decorative veneer has an extremely natural feel.

A plurality of such rotary veneers are stacked with adhesive so that the running direction of the conduit is aligned, and this laminate is pressed to create a first flitch, as shown in Fig. 4. The flitch 10 is sliced in the direction of arrow B along the running direction of the conduit 11a of the rotary veneer 11 to create a thin sliced veneer 12, and the sliced veneer 12 and the small diameter conduit are in a rough state. Distributed material veneer (not shown)
Combine them in a predetermined ratio, apply adhesive and overlap them,
By pressing this laminate to create a second flitch and slicing this second flitch, a decorative veneer with a ring-hole appearance can be obtained.

Additionally, if a foam adhesive is used to obtain the first and second flitches, it will enter the conduit of the veneer while retaining air bubbles, making it more similar to the natural perforated area. A decorative veneer with a circular hole-like appearance is obtained.
