保つために左右対称的な配置が必要であること等の前提
条件を満たすために、複数個のフロートを配置すること
ができず、一般には、第5図イに示すような、左右両側
箇所と中央箇所との夫々に整地部を形成した一つの幅広
なフロートを左右車輪間に設けていたものであるが、こ
のような幅広のフロートを用いると、フロート前部で押
出された多量の泥土が既植苗側に流出して、苗の押倒し
等の不都合を発生し易いものであり、又、中央箇所に泥
水が流入してこないことから、低含水状態となる泥土が
爪に付着し易くなり、良好な苗掻き取り作用を行なうこ
とができなかった= そこで、フロート前部による泥押しの防止と、爪への泥
土の付着を避けるために植付箇所近くへ泥水を導くこと
を考慮すると、第5図ロ,ハに示す形態が考えられるが
、ロに示す形態では、前述した如くフロートが非対称故
直進性が劣り、ハに示す3個のフロート形態では、車輪
をフロート前端1よりも前方へ設けなければならず、機
体全体が長くなり過ぎる不都合がある。
