In the conventional human body detection device, as shown in FIG. A light receiving element 3 made of a photoelectric element is provided, and its output is sent to a change detection circuit 5 via an amplifier circuit 4.
The output from the detection circuit 5 causes a detection signal to be generated in the output circuit 6.

) is in a normal state, the object in the area is stationary, so the amount of light received by the light receiving element 3 is constant and does not change, so no detection signal is generated. However, when a human body etc. enters the detection area, it causes light to be emitted. Reflection occurs and the amount of received light changes, thereby generating a detection signal.

In the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the light emitting circuit 1 and the light emitting element 2 project light onto an area P as in the conventional case, and each of the four areas DA to DD within the area P is Four light-receiving elements 3A to serve as light-receiving areas

The light receiving elements 38 to 3D are provided with amplifier circuits 4A to 4A, respectively.
4D and the output circuit 6 via the change detection circuits 5A to 5D.
A to 6D are connected, and the outputs of output circuits 6A and 6C are simultaneously generated in these output circuits 6A to 6D, and after a certain period of time, the outputs of output circuits 6B and 6D are simultaneously generated, and these four outputs are simultaneously generated. An output processing circuit 7 is connected to output a detection signal when a detection signal occurs, and the fixed time is configured to be a time corresponding to the moving speed of the person in relation to the separation between the areas DA and DB.

In other words, when a leaf or the like falls through area P, it may pass through horizontally spaced areas DA and DB or Dc and DD at the same time, but it may pass through vertically spaced areas DA and DC or DB and DD at the same time. Therefore, since the outputs of the output circuits 6A and 6C are not generated simultaneously, no detection signal is output.

Furthermore, when insects or other small objects fly around within the area P, they will not be present in two or more of the four areas DA to DD at the same time, so no detection signal will be output.

Furthermore, when there is optical noise such as lightning or flashes from photography,
Output circuit 6 due to damping etc. of each amplifier circuit 4A to 4D.
Outputs are generated at A to 6D, but since all four outputs are generated simultaneously, the output processing circuit 7 does not output a detection signal at this time either.

Therefore, as shown in FIG. 5, outputs SA and So that continue for a certain period of time are generated in the output circuits 6A and 6C, and after a certain period of time has passed since the generation of these outputs SA and sc, both outputs SA,
Before Sc disappears, similar outputs SB and SD are generated in the output circuits 6B and 6D, and the four outputs overlap in time, and moreover, during the certain period of time, areas DA and DB are separated in the horizontal direction.
The output processing circuit 7 outputs the detection signal S because it corresponds to the distance between the two and the moving speed of the person.
