Painting booths differ from general flush-type booths in that the water on the surface of the water is sucked into the swirl chamber by the suction airflow of paint mist, and the paint mist is collected by the water film and water droplets formed in the swirl chamber.
Since there is no need to circulate water with a pump, there is no clogging of shower nozzles, piping, etc., and it has the advantage of good collection efficiency.

However, in the conventional booth of this kind as shown in Fig. 1,
The paint sludge collected by the water returns together with water from the swirl chamber to the front surface of the water tank 3 via the collecting tray 1 at the rear via the return pipe 2, as shown by arrow a. However, paint sludge often adheres to the pipe path during the long path that circulates around the back of the swirl chamber and passes from the receiving tray to the return pipe, or floats to the rear of the swirl chamber and settles, making cleaning difficult and frequent. It was necessary. A shows attached and floated sludge. Conventional equipment includes a sludge tank at the back of the booth and a lid for cleaning, but this was uneconomical in terms of installation space and equipment costs. The present invention utilizes the advantages of this type of bath, which has good collection efficiency and does not require a pump for water or collected liquid, to reduce the amount of collected sludge that adheres to the device and to remove most of the sludge. The sludge is floated or settled at the front of the water tank so that the sludge can be easily removed at the painting position.

In FIG. 2, the booth main body 10 is divided into a processing chamber 12 and a painting chamber 13 by a front plate 11, and a mist suction fan (not shown) is provided above in communication with the processing chamber 12. The lower part of 10 forms a water tank 15.

The mist collection device 16 has a continuous face 17 separated from the front plate 11, and a saucer 18 whose lower part is bent backward;
a spiral plate 19 formed in an arc shape to enclose the saucer 18;
It is composed of an inclined plate 20 extending into the front liquid continuously from the lower end of the spiral plate 19, a frame (not shown) for fixing these, legs 22 for supporting them, and the like. It is more preferable that the spiral plate 19 be constructed so that it can be freely removed from the frame or opened to the rear for easy cleaning. Further, liquid and sludge fall and accumulate in the saucer 18, and in order to return the liquid and sludge to the water tank 15, a return pipe 23 for returning the liquid and sludge from the inside of the saucer 18 to the front of the water tank 15 is provided at an appropriate location on the saucer 18. A partition plate 25 is provided at the outlet end of the return pipe 23 to partition the front water surface portion of the saucer 18, and the front water slide A is arranged so as to float. The partition plate 25 is detachably installed to prevent sludge on or near the water surface from being sucked into the swirl chamber 1 by the suction air flow b. 24

Next, to explain this effect, first, the paint mist sprayed into the painting chamber 13 is sucked into the water by the high-speed airflow generated between the water surface and the lower end opening of the saucer 18 when it is sucked into the fan. As a result, a water film is formed on the inner surface of the spiral plate 19.
The paint mist collides with this water film and is collected.

Furthermore, it scatters from the terminal end of the spiral plate 19, and the vertical surface 17
The paint mist is collected by coming into contact with or colliding with the countless water droplets generated against the eliminator 24VC.
The paint mist thus collected becomes sludge and is collected together with water in the saucer 18, sent to the front of the water tank 15 through the return pipe 23 as shown by arrow c, and floats at that position. The floating sludge A is blocked by the partition plate 25 and is not sucked into the swirl chamber 1 again, making it possible to easily remove the sludge at the coating position. As mentioned above, the present invention arranges a return pipe at the lower edge of the saucer in front of the spiral plate,
In addition, by providing a partition plate, sludge can be easily removed at the painting position, and unnecessary sludge is not sucked into the swirl chamber again, reducing adhesion to the collection part, and the receiving tray can be removed from the swirl chamber. Since it is installed on the side and returns paint sludge to the front of the tank in the shortest distance, there are fewer areas where sludge adheres.
The required interval for cleaning the collection part can be greatly extended.

Furthermore, by eliminating the saucer at the rear of the vortex chamber and allowing the liquid from the vortex chamber to be sent to the rear water surface, there is no accumulation of water, sludge, or stagnation at the rear of the water tank, and almost no sludge accumulation or sedimentation in this area. Most of the paint sludge can be easily removed at the front of the water tank, that is, at the painting position.

1 Suction of paint mist In a painting booth that uses an airflow to suck the liquid at the surface of the liquid into a swirl chamber, and collects the paint mist using the liquid film and droplets formed in the swirl chamber, processing is carried out. Inside the room, a saucer is formed by bending the lower part of a continuous vertical plane separated from the front panel, and a spiral plate formed in an arc shape to enclose the saucer is attached, and the lower end of the spiral plate is placed in a water tank facing the painting room. A return pipe is formed in a part of the saucer for returning the liquid containing paint sludge to the front of the water tank, and a water surface portion in front of the saucer is partitioned off at the outlet end of the return pipe.
