方に選択的に停止可能な機構を有する印字装置において

により支持部材18に対し枢軸結合される。このリボン
移動用レバー9はリンク15および16を介してキヤリ
ア17に連結される。この両リンク15および16を結
合する枢軸20はカム機構の従動輪の作用を兼ねて、ギ
ヤ11に形成したカム溝14内に嵌合する。次に上記構
成の印字装置の作動について説明する。第2図は印字ヘ
ツド8の印字時の状態を示し印字ヘツド8はプラテン5
側に当接・している。この後印字ヘツドを復帰させるた
めに図示しないハンマーブラケツト駆動モータが回転し
扇形ギヤ12およびギヤ11が矢印C,Dのように回転
する。印字ヘツド8がギヤ11の回転に件つて矢印E方
向に軸21(第3図)を中心に揺動回転して復帰動作し
中立位置に達するとリンク15の枢軸20はカム溝14
のA部に達する。このときカム溝14を軸21を中心と
する円周上に形成しておけば印字打撃位置から中立位置
へ復帰する間枢軸20の位置は変化せず従つてリボン移
動用レバー9は駆動されない。印字ヘツド8が退避動作
を行なうために扇形ギヤ12およびギヤ11がさらに矢
印C,D方向に回転するとリンク15の枢軸20はカム
溝14内においてA部からB部に移動する。従つてリン
ク15は第2図において左側に移動しこのためリボン移
動用レバー9は軸19を中心に矢印Fのように回転する

張設されたインクリボン(図示しない)はそれ自身の張
力によりリボン移動用レバー9の移動に伴いプラテンか

線77/で示さへ リボン移動用レバーは実線で示す前
進位置にあり、印字ヘツドが実線で示した中立位置のと
きはインクリボンは実線7で示す位置となりリボン移動
用レバーの位置は変わらず前進位置にあり、印字ヘツド
がさらに揺動して一点鎖線8′で示した退避位置のとき
はリボン移動用レバーがプラテンから離れた後方位置(
一点鎖線9′で示す)に達しこれとともにインクリボン
も一点鎖線7/で示すように後方に移動する。以上のよ
うにカム機構を用いることによつて印字ヘツドの揺動運
動に連動してインクリボンをプラテン方向に前進あるい
は後退させることができ、印字ヘツドの退避動作時には
インクリボンを後退させて印字した文字を観察可能とし
また印字用紙の挿入を円滑に行なわせることができ、印
字ヘツドの中立位置においてはインクリボンをプラテン
側に前進させて印字ヘツドとの係合を遮断することがで
きる。なおリボン移動用レバーの駆動機構はカム機構に
限定されるものではなく、ハンマーブラケツトの運動に
直接連動させストツパを併設してプラテンへの当接を防
止してもよいしあるいはハンマーブラケツト駆動用モー
タに連動させてもよい。
