Elastic foam sheets or tapes are widely used as waterproof, windproof, moisture-proof construction materials, or as fillers between packaging containers and goods, but they are bulky and require a large amount of space during transportation or storage. It has the following drawbacks.

Also, limited to construction materials5, when the sheet or tape is attached to the joints or voids of a building to obtain waterproofing or other effects, the sheet or tape is applied to the width of the joint by hand. The drawback is that the installation work is complicated because it has to be installed while being compressed, and as mentioned above, there is a limit to the thickness of the sheet or chip used for installation 10, so there are gaps such as joints etc. There are disadvantages in that the pressing force on the forming surface is small, and the structure of the attached sheet or tape is not made dense, making it impossible to obtain sufficient waterproofness. 15 As a means to solve recent problems such as bulkiness, installation workability, and waterproofness, elastic foam sheets or tapes are forcibly compressed and fixed to 1/4 to 115% of their original thickness, and in that state they are rolled. Two types have been proposed: a roll type in which the material is rolled up and the outermost surface is fixed with a non-stretchable base material, and a hermetically sealed type in which an elastic foam sheet or tape is placed inside an airtight bag and the pressure is reduced at the same time as compression. Although some of them have been put into practical use, they have not been widely used due to the following drawbacks.

5) In other words, in the case of roll type products, a) If stored for a long period of time, distortion due to compression will be large, and even if it is attached to joints etc. under conditions of 10℃ or less, it will recover in a short period of time and will not have waterproof properties. Does not perform well.

(b) On the other hand, if you try to use it under conditions of 35° C. or higher, the non-stretchable base material will return to its original state during the time it unravels and is attached to joints, etc., making it difficult to attach. c) If the roll loses its shape or leaves unused parts, it cannot be used because it will restore its shape. In addition, the sealed packaging type 4 bag 35 has the same drawbacks as in (a) above and the drawback that if the bag is damaged or has holes, it cannot be restored and used. The present invention provides a novel expandable filling and waterproofing material developed as a result of intensive studies in view of the state of the prior art. The first aspect of the present invention is to inject water-soluble or heat-fusible fiber threads from one or both sides of an elastic foam sheet or tape and wrap them around within the foam structure, thereby increasing the original thickness of the foam sheet or tape. It relates to expandable filling and waterproofing materials that are compressed and fixed to a thinner thickness and recover by applying water or heating, and after the materials are installed in desired joints, etc., they are subjected to simple post-treatments such as heating or water sprinkling. Just,
For example, it is one that restores and expands even when a compressive load of about 1009/d or more is applied to the joint forming surface.

A second invention of the present invention is characterized in that an elastic foam sheet or tape is sewn with water-soluble or heat-meltable fiber threads, and the foam sheet or tape is compressed and fixed to a thickness thinner than its original thickness. It provides an expandable filling and waterproofing material that recovers upon application of water or heat.

Further, the fiber yarn for driving used in the present invention is a water-soluble fiber yarn made of a water-soluble organic polymer compound such as polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinylpyrrolidone, or a fiber derivative, or a water-soluble fiber yarn made of a water-soluble organic polymer compound such as polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinylpyrrolidone, or a fiber-based derivative, or a water-soluble fiber yarn made of polyethylene, polypropylene, acrylic resin, or ethylene monovinyl acetate copolymer. Thermofusible fiber yarns made of a thermofusible resin (preferably a resin having a melting point of 80 to 200°C), such as a polymer, are preferably used, and the thickness of these yarns depends on the degree of water solubility and melting point of the fiber yarn. Generally, 0.1 to 50 deniers, preferably 1 to 15 deniers, are used, although they vary. The length of the thread also varies depending on the thickness and hardness of the elastic foam sheet or tape to be compressed, but it is desirable to have a length that is approximately twice the thickness of the elastic foam sheet or tape, and generally speaking. 5~500W! 1, preferably 10 to 300 ml. The amount of yarn used also depends on the force required to compress the elastic foam sheet or tape to 50%, but for less than 1 kg/d, it is about 10 to 300 f! In the range of γ/i, 1k9/01
When it is 11 or more, it is used in the range of about 50 to 5009 γ/d. Twisted fiber yarns are more likely to get tangled,
This is preferred because the elastic foam sheet or tape can be compressed with a small amount. The fiber threads are inserted by uniformly distributing the desired amount of fiber threads on one or both sides of an elastic foam sheet or tape, and then using a needle punching machine to punch the fibers 30 to 100 times per d. This is done by pouring.

By driving the fiber threads in this way, the fiber threads become entwined with each other within the foam structure, compressing the elastic foam sheet or tape to a thin layer of 1/2 to 1/10 of its original state, and fixing it in that state. It is something that will be done. The second expandable filling and waterproofing material of the present invention is produced by sewing an elastic foam sheet or tape with a long fiber yarn (thickness of about 30 to 150 deniers) made of the above-mentioned fiber yarn by a conventional method, for example, with a sewing machine. It can be obtained by sewing it in a striped or grid pattern.

The distance between the stitches varies depending on the thickness and hardness of the elastic foam sheet or tape, but is preferably in the range of 3 to 301!11. If necessary, an adhesive layer such as unvulcanized rubber is provided on the surface of the expandable filling and waterproofing material of the present invention, so that it can be temporarily fixed to a gap forming surface such as a joint during use, so that it will not shift in position before expansion. This method has the advantage of improving work efficiency.

According to the expandable filling and waterproofing material of the present invention, in the type using water-soluble fiber threads, the foam sheet or tape can be compressed by attaching it to the desired application space and spraying water. The fixed fiber threads may be dissolved on the surface of the foam or within the tissue, their strength may be weakened due to swelling and they may break, or the fiber threads may become untwisted.
The function of controlling the restoring force of the foam sheet or tape to maintain a compressed and fixed state disappears, and along with this loss, due to the restoring power inherent to the foam sheet or tape, it recovers to almost its original thickness. to completely fill the void.

In addition, types that use heat-meltable fiber threads are melted by heating, softened and weakened and may break, or the fiber threads may become untwisted and compressed. The fixing ability is lost, and as in the case described above, it recovers to approximately its original size and completely fills spaces and gaps. Examples of the present invention are shown below.

Next, on both sides of this sheet, polyvinyl alcohol-based water-soluble fiber threads having a thickness of 5 to 10 deniers and a length of 20 to 60 deniers are uniformly distributed so that the ratio is 100 to 1509 γ/I, respectively, and the carpet is applied from both sides. The fibers are punched 25 to 50 times per d using a needle punching machine, and the fiber threads are wrapped around each other in the foam structure and compressed and fixed to obtain a sheet-like expandable filling and waterproofing material with a thickness of 6 m1.
