ホルムアルデヒドは勿論、不完全硬化の状態である樹脂
結合の末端基となつているメチロール基などが、カゼイ
ンプラスチツクスからのホルムアルデヒドの溶出原因と
なり、使用上種々の問題となつている。

本発明において用いる亜硫酸塩又は重亜硫酸塩としては
、アルカリまたはアルカリ土類金属塩が好ましく、特に
工業的に大量生産されているナトリウム塩が入手し易く
好ましい。亜硫酸塩または重亜硫酸塩の水溶液の濃度は
3wt%以下で充分で、それ以上でも効果は殆んど変ら
ない。
