る。ロッドは一列に並べても良いし、複数列に並べても
良い。ロッドのあるもの、望ましくは半数を一方向へ磁
化する電磁コイルを設ける。また残りのロッドを異なる
方向へ磁化する電磁コイルを設ける。これ等の2種類の
電磁コイルは交互に設けるのが望ましい。約半数のロッ
ドヘは直接磁化力を与えないで単に磁気通路として作用
させても良い。これ等電磁コイルの位置するところを基
準にしてロッドの保持しようとする物体への作用端の位
置する方の反対側に位置するところにあり、ロッドのう
ち異なる方向に磁化されたロッドを共通に挾み、電磁コ
イルの付勢に依つてホルダに対するロッドの動きを拘束
するヨークを設ける。このヨークは夫々異なる方向に磁
化されたロッドを夫々1本づつ、計2本を拘束するもの
と狭く解釈すべきでない。異なる方向へ磁化されたロッ
ドを夫々数本づつ共通のヨークで挾むようにしても良い

いときには各ロッドは保持しようとする物体の保持面の

以上のように構成したものに依り物体Mを保持する場合
には電磁コイルCl,C2の付勢を解いてロツドR1〜
Rl6の作用点Pを物体Mの保持しようとする面に近づ
けてやる。そうするとロツドR1〜Rl6はホルダ1に
対して物体Mの対向部の高さに応じて移動する。次に電
磁,コイルCl,C2を付勢すると励磁コイルCl,C
2VC依る磁束は、ロツドR2n+,、物体M、ロツド
R2n、ヨークYa−Yhの磁気回路を通る。従つてヨ
ークYaとYb.YcとYd,.YeとYf,.Ygと
Yhは戻しバネSの力に打ち勝つて吸引され、夫々両ヨ
ークの間にあるロツドを拘束する。この状態でホルダ1
を移動するど物体Mはホルダ1と一緒に移動する。物体

ば良い。以上の実施例ではすべてのロツドに同心的に電
