本発明はオイルシールに関し、更に詳しくは金属補強環

プ5とダストリップ8は互いに別体となり、加硫成形に
当つてはそれぞれに対し別個のゴム材料片を用意し補強
環1を挾む如くなして成形型のキャビティ内に挿入する
ことを必要とし製作工程面において繁雑、不経済である

、補強環1の両側面に接着されたオイルリップ5とダス
トリップ8が連通孔9を通して互いに一体的に接続され
てシール部材6を形成している。オイルリップ5と接着
剤非塗布面4とは互いに接触状態にあるが接着されてい
ない。本実施例の製作に当つてはプレス加工により断面
が略L字形状を呈しかつ内周端部近傍に円周方向に配列
された連通孔9を備える如くに加工された補強環1の全
表面に接着剤を塗布した後に、補強環1の内周先端部を
旋削、研削等により接着剤非塗布面4を形成し、次いで
、成形型の成形用キャビティ内に補強環1と1片のゴム
材料片とを互いに重ねて挿入し圧縮、加熱して連通孔9
を通して互いに接続されたオイルリップ5およびダスト
リップ8からなるシール部材6を成形するとともに補強
環1に接着させるものである。本発明のオイルシールが
前記した構成要件を備えていることにより、加硫成形に
当つて1片のゴム材料片のみによつてオイルリップおよ
びダストリツプを成形することを可能となし、加工時に
おける作業能率、経済性における作用効果が大であり、
かつ製品におけるオイルリツプとダストリツプの結合を
強固ならしめ、耐久性においても大なる作用効果をもた
