In general, it is convenient for the shafts of fishing rods and golf clubs to have an oval or other non-circular cross section. This makes it easier to grip the fishing rod, and also allows the long axis to be oriented toward the front and back of the transfer direction when transferring. By doing
By minimizing the resistance of the fishing rod and by setting the direction of the fishing rod when transferring, it is possible to cast the fishing line accurately and over a long distance. By swinging the ball back and forth, the flight distance of the ball can be extended, and by directing the short axis back and forth in the direction of swing, the shaft is given directionality, allowing the ball to be placed in an accurate position. It is possible to fly to

By the way, when manufacturing tapered pipe materials with non-circular cross-sections, such as fishing rods and golf shafts, conventionally a tapered mandrel with a non-circular cross-section is used, and the outer periphery of the mandrel is manually synthesized into high-strength fibers. Pre-cured prepreg is impregnated with resin and wrapped, and multiple parts of this prepreg are fixed with adhesive etc.
It was intended to be held on the outer periphery of the mandrel and pressurized in this state using a press die or the like.

Therefore, with the above-mentioned pipe material manufacturing means, winding the prepreg around the mandrel requires tedious manual work, and it is also necessary to employ pressure means such as a press mold to pressurize the prepreg. Manufacturing was very complex, cumbersome, and inefficient, and the tubing produced was expensive. Therefore, when manufacturing a tapered pipe material having a non-circular cross section, the present inventor used the manufacturing means generally used for manufacturing tapered pipe materials, that is, mechanically rolling a mandrel on a forming table. We continued our research to utilize a manufacturing method that uses mechanical force to automatically wind prepreg while pressurizing it around the outer circumference of a mandrel, and we have developed a manufacturing method that uses mechanical force to automatically wrap prepreg around the outer circumference of a mandrel. Moreover, they were able to develop a manufacturing method that could be manufactured automatically.

That is, the present invention has a non-circular part with a non-circular cross-section and a tapered shape in the middle part, and a small-diameter taper part and a large-diameter taper part with a perfect circular cross-section and a tapered surface on the outer periphery are formed at both ends. Using a mandrel consisting of a molding machine, each taper part provided at both ends of the mandrel was brought into contact with the molding table. A prepreg made of high-strength fiber impregnated with a synthetic resin is wrapped around the outer periphery of the mandrel while rolling on the molding table, and then a thin sheet is wrapped around the outer periphery of the prepreg to make the prepreg. It is characterized in that the mandrel is pulled out after the prepreg is brought into close contact with the mandrel and the prepreg is heat-formed.

以下本発明を図面の実施例に基いて具体的に説明する。The present invention will be specifically described below based on embodiments shown in the drawings.

This mandrel 1 has a non-circular part 11 with an elliptical cross-section and a tapered shape in the middle part, and a tapered surface with a perfect circular cross-section and a small diameter end on the outer peripheral surface at the small-diameter end of the non-circular part 11. While forming a small diameter tapered portion 12 having
At the other end on the large diameter side of the non-circular portion 11, there is a tapered surface that has a perfect circle in cross section, has a smaller diameter toward the non-circular portion 11 on the outer peripheral surface, and has the same inclination angle as the tapered surface of the small diameter tapered portion 12. Thus, a large diameter tapered portion 13 is formed.

Further, the long axis D1 of the small diameter side end of the non-circular portion 11 is made the same as the large diameter side diameter t1 of the small diameter tapered portion 12, and the long axis D2 of the large diameter side end of the non-circular portion 11 is set to be the same as the large diameter side diameter t1 of the small diameter tapered portion 12. The diameter T2 on the small diameter side of the tapered portion 13 is the same, and the outer circumferential surface of the non-circular portion 11 in the long axis direction is inclined at the same angle from the large diameter tapered portion 13 to the outer circumferential surface of the small diameter tapered portion 12. Continuously, the non-circular portion 1
The short axis d of 1 is the same at any cross-sectional location, and the short axis d is made to be the same as the diameter t1 on the large diameter side of the small diameter tapered portion 12, and the short axis d of the non-circular portion 11 is The outer circumferential surface is made to converge continuously with the outer circumferential surface of the small diameter tapered portion 11.

By forming the mandrel 1 as described above, the tapered portions 12 and 13 provided at both ends of the mandrel 1 are brought into contact with a forming table which will be described later, and the mandrel 1 is smoothly rolled on the forming table while drawing a circular trajectory. During this rolling, the prepreg can be automatically wrapped around the outer circumference of the mandrel 1, and the prepreg wrapped around the mandrel 1 can be
After heating, the mandrel 1 can be easily pulled out from the small diameter tapered portion 12 side.

However, the outer circumferential surface of the non-circular portion 11 in the short axis d direction is
The taper may be formed so that the diameter is larger on the large-diameter tapered portion 13 side within a range that does not protrude outward from the line connecting each of the tapered portions 12 and 13. When doing so, the mantle of the prepreg In the above case, the work of pulling out the base layer from 1 becomes easier.

At the time of winding the prepreg 3, since the forming table 22 is made of a soft material, the pressing force of the pressing table 23 causes
The prepreg 3 wound around the mandrel 1 is pressurized to some extent, but the pressing force in the short axis d direction of the mandrel 1 tends to be insufficient. Afterwards, a thin sheet such as cellophane or polyester tape or a heat-shrinkable tube is wrapped around the outer periphery of the prepreg 3, and the prepreg 3 is brought into close contact with the mandrel 1 under pressure. Thereafter, the prepreg 3 wound around the mandrel 1 is fired and heated in a firing furnace, and then the prepreg 3 is pulled out toward the small diameter tapered part 12 of the mandrel 1, and the sheet is peeled off, as shown in FIG. As shown, a tapered tube material 4 with an elliptical cross section is formed. As explained above, according to the pipe manufacturing method of the present invention, a tapered pipe with a non-circular cross section can be automatically wound very easily and accurately by mechanical force, and the pipe can be manufactured labor-savingly and efficiently. It was reached.

In addition, since the tube material obtained by the present invention has a tapered shape with a non-circular cross section, when the tube material is used as a fishing rod, it fits easily in the hand and is easy to grip. This makes it possible to reduce the resistance of the fishing rod and set the direction when transferring the fishing line, making it possible to cast the fishing line accurately and over long distances.

Furthermore, when used in the shaft of a golf club, by swinging the long axis forward and backward in the swinging direction, the strength of the shaft can be increased and the flight distance of the ball can be increased.
By swinging the short axis forward and backward in the swinging direction,
By giving direction to the shaft, you can send the ball to a precise location.
