である。In such a conventional example, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a pivot portion d is fixed to the center of the rear surface of a mirror housing b that supports a mirror a and is received by a seat c. The part d consists of a hemispherical member dl and a coil spring d3 which is placed between this and the screw d to provide an appropriate torque, and one end is pivoted to the mirror housing b above and to the right of the pivot part d. Universal joints f and f are respectively arranged, the other ends of which are pivoted to the forward and backward levers e and e, and when the upper universal joint f is driven by the forward and backward lever e, the mirror a is tilted up and down, and the mirror a is tilted to the right. The universal joint moves forward and backward.
There is a configuration in which the mirror a is tilted left and right by being driven by the mirror a. However, in the above case, the housing b of the hemispherical member dl is simply the spring d3.
Since the pivot portion d is only pressed against the seat c by the pivot portion d, the pivot portion d can freely rotate in any direction, and therefore the mirror housing b can also rotate 3600 times. In such a case, if you try to tilt the mirror a vertically or horizontally using the universal joints f and f, which are separated from the position of the pivot part d, since the tilting direction is free, it will inevitably tilt only in the desired vertical or horizontal direction. There are cases where the device operates diagonally as well. At the same time, a protrusion 1a is provided on the mirror, and a recess 2a that accommodates the protrusion 1a is provided on the contact surface of the spacer 2 to attach the spherical part 1 and the spacer 2. A convex portion 2b is provided on the abutting surface of the spacer 2 with the seat 3 so as to protrude in the left-right direction, which is another desired direction of tilting of the mirror 11, and a concave portion 3a that fits the convex portion 2b is formed on the seat 3. It is provided on the abutting surface, and the spacer 2 and catch seat 3 are attached. The tilting of the mirror housing 10 is similar to that of a known mirror housing 10, in which a universal joint □ whose one end is pivotally supported on the rear surface of the mirror housing 10 and the other end is pivotally supported on the retractable rod 13 is tilted upward and upward from the center of the mirror housing 10. This is done by placing each on the right side. With the above configuration, when the upper advancing/retracting rod 13 moves back and forth by an appropriate drive source (for example, the motor 8 is used in this example) to operate the mirror housing 10, the spherical portion 1 is moved to its convex portion 1a. slides vertically, ie, upwardly or downwardly, along the recess 2a of the spacer 2, and thus the mirror housing 1
Zero tilting is restricted only in this vertical direction. in this case,
The convex portion 2b of the spacer 2 in the left and right direction is the concave portion 3a of the catch seat 3.
A and the mirror housing b may rotate (rotate in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 1) when viewed from the front. In view of the above circumstances, the present invention provides a pivot mechanism in which the driven member is configured to operate only in a desired direction (for example, vertically or horizontally), prevents rotation of the driven member, and has a simple structure. The purpose is to

A spherical part 1 is provided at approximately the central rear part of the spherical part 1, a spacer 2 of a suitable shape is slidably fitted into this spherical part 1, and a seat 3 is provided to receive this spacer 2 together with the spherical part 1. It is something that At this time, as shown in FIG. 5, the contact surface of the spherical part 1 with the spacer 2 is adapted to the desired direction of tilting of the mirror 11, in this case the vertical direction, so the spacer 2 is fixed to the seat 3. , does not move vertically and therefore does not slide. on the other hand,
When the right advancing/retracting lever (not shown), which is another advancing/retracting lever, moves back and forth to operate the mirror housing 10, the spherical part 1 slides horizontally, that is, to the left or right; Since the convex portion 1a and the concave portion 2a of the spacer 2 are compatible with each other, the spacer 2 is also interlocked. However, since the convex portion 2b of the spacer 2 is oriented in the left-right direction, it slides along the concave portion 3a of the catch seat 3, so that the tilting of the mirror housing 10 is restricted only in this left-right direction. Therefore, even though the joint member 7 is located away from the center of the mirror housing 10, its tilting is restricted only to the desired vertical (up and down) and horizontal (left and right) directions, and it does not tilt diagonally. . Moreover, rotation of the front surface of the mirror housing 10 is reliably prevented. Furthermore, since such means for regulating direction and preventing rotation are incorporated into the pivot mechanism of the spherical portion 1, spacer 2, and seat 3, the pivot mechanism can be easily assembled without requiring any other members. Since it can be completed with just one step, it is also advantageous in terms of production. As mentioned above,
The pivot mechanism of the present invention includes a driven member, a spacer slidably fitted to a spherical part provided on the first driven member, and a seat for receiving the spacer, and the pivot mechanism comprises a driven member, a spacer slidably fitted to a spherical part provided on the driven member, and a seat for receiving the spacer. A convex portion is provided on one side of the contact surface with the spacer and/or a contact surface between the spacer and the seat for regulating the driven member in one desired driving direction, and the convex portion is provided on the other surface. Since it is characterized by having a recess corresponding to the part, it is possible to drive the driven member only in the desired direction, prevent rotation of the driven member, and the structure is simple and easy to assemble. It also has the effect of being good for sex.
