Description
【発明の詳細な説明】
本発明は内燃機関用ピストン、特にピンボス部とスカー
ト部とをスカート部に形成した僅少な幅のスリットによ
り絶縁したピストンを鋳造するだめの鋳型に関するもの
である。DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a mold for casting a piston for an internal combustion engine, particularly a piston in which a pin boss portion and a skirt portion are insulated by a narrow slit formed in the skirt portion.
この種のピストンはスカート部に対するピンボス部の熱
膨張の影響が上記絶縁スリットによって断たれているた
め、機関高温時においてスカート部が一様に熱膨張し、

した空間Sを有する左右二つ割の外型で、その左右の型

なピストンを一挙に鋳造でき、したがって上記絶縁スリ
ット形成のだめの面倒な溝切り加工は勿論不要で、製品
