Traditionally, processing methods for diaper covers and the like include applying a resin coating to the surface of the fabric, or immersing the fabric in a separate treatment bath of various types of silicone water repellents, such as water-soluble or solvent-treated. A method was taken to deal with it.

However, in the former method, the stitches are blocked by resin, resulting in a fabric that is not breathable and tends to get stuffy.
The disadvantage is that the fabric itself becomes hard, making it extremely uncomfortable to wear, and the latter method also has the disadvantage of poor waterproof performance.

In addition to the above-mentioned conventional technology, a specific composition of reactive organ polysiloxane and a fluorine-based water repellent is used to improve the color fastness to abrasion of dyed fiber cloth while maintaining breathability and waterproofness. JP-A-56-1234
Although it has been proposed as No. 79, it has very poor washing resistance.

The present invention eliminates each of the above-mentioned conventional drawbacks, and can be applied to natural fibers, regenerated fibers, and synthetic fibers, either alone or in combination.
For knitted fabrics such as general stockinette knit fabrics, warp knit fabrics, etc., which are made of knitted fabrics (mixed knits, blended yarns, mixed twisted yarns, aligned yarns, etc.), we have developed a processing method that provides excellent breathability and waterproofness, and particularly excellent washing resistance. The gist of the present invention is to provide the following:
A treatment bath is formed by mixing a reactive organpolysiloxane and a fluorine-based water repellent in the presence of an inorganic or organic metal salt catalyst and an acid such that the ratio of the latter to the former is 50% or more by weight. After the fabric to be processed is immersed in the treatment bath, a mixed film of the reacted organopolysiloxane and a fluorine-based water repellent is applied to the surface of the fabric by heat treatment such as drying and curing. The point is to form and adhere.

以下その詳細について説明する。The details will be explained below.

As is clear from the above results, according to the method of the present invention,
Compared to the conventional method, it has superior breathability and waterproofing properties, as well as excellent washing resistance.
Compared to No. 2, it is significantly superior in washing resistance, and can maintain its performance over a long period of time.

In the present invention, it is not preferable that the amount of the fluorine-based water repellent be less than 50% by weight compared to the reactive organopolysiloxane, since this reduces waterproofness and washing resistance.

In addition, the reason why an inorganic or organic metal salt catalyst is used in the present invention is to accelerate the reaction of reactive organopolysiloxane (reactive silicone), and the reason why an acid is used is to prevent gum-up, that is, to accelerate the reaction of reactive silicone. The purpose of this is to suppress the reaction, and the above two actions are contradictory, but basically, the reaction just before the mixed treatment bath is applied to the fabric is suppressed with an acid, and at the same time the reaction is applied to the fabric, the acid is applied by heating. , and accelerates the reaction all at once to form a uniform film.

As described above, the present invention forms a strong film of fully reacted silicon on the fiber surface by combining a reactive organopolysiloxane and a fluorine-based water repellent in the presence of an inorganic or organic metal salt catalyst and an acid. At the same time, the water repellency of a fluorine-based water repellent is added, and the synergistic effect of the above-mentioned surrounding material enables a breathable waterproof finish with unprecedented washing resistance.
