DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a sublimation transfer printing method, and particularly to a sublimation transfer printing method that does not use a pressure plate.

Conventionally, the sublimation transfer printing method, which uses sublimation or heat-melting migratable dyes, involves placing transfer paper on the transfer target under normal pressure or reduced pressure, pressing it with a pressure plate to bring it into close contact, and transferring by heating. It was normal.

However, according to this method, it is virtually impossible to perform uniform transfer printing on a transfer target having an uneven surface. As another method, a method is known in which a transfer paper is brought into close contact with an object to be transferred using an adhesive or the like, and the transfer is performed by heating without using a pressure plate. Although this method is suitable for transfer printing on relatively monotonous curved surfaces, it is virtually impossible to transfer print on surfaces with minute irregularities or complex curved surfaces, and the heating means is not open or otherwise necessary. Because of this dependence, a long heating time is required.

In order to solve this problem, the applicant previously placed the object to be transferred on a base having a large number of gas permeation holes, overlapped the transfer paper,
We developed and filed an application for a method in which transfer paper is brought into close contact with the object to be transferred by suction through gas permeation holes, and the transfer is performed by heating.

That is, in the present invention, a transfer object, a transfer paper carrying a sublimable dye, and a stretchable flexible sheet capable of transporting gas are stacked in this order on a substrate having a large number of gas permeation holes, and The transfer paper and flexible sheet are brought into close contact with the transfer target by suction, and the transfer is performed by heating.

以下図面を参照して本発明を更に詳細に説明する。The present invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings.

The transfer paper 3 is not limited to one that is gas-feedable, and may be made of any other material such as paper. Further, the transfer paper 3 does not need to cover the entire surface of the object to be transferred.

A stretchable flexible sheet 4 with gas-feeding properties is further placed on top of the transfer paper 3. The flexible sheet 4 is preferably one with good heat resistance for reuse, and specifically, silicone rubber, sheet, Teflon sheet, polyester film, etc. are preferable. The flexible sheet 4 is preferably large enough to completely cover the object to be transferred, and its edges are preferably held airtight with a cover 5 (゛. After this, the substrate 1 is suction through the permeation hole 6;
After exhausting the air, the transfer paper 3 and flexible sheet 5 are brought into close contact with the transfer target 2.

Due to the elasticity of the flexible sheet 4, the transfer paper 3 overflows the irregularities of the object to be transferred and completely adheres to it.

In this way, the infrared heater 7
The image is heated and transferred by means such as the following. According to the present invention, as is clear from the above example, since the transfer is performed under low pressure close to vacuum, a conventional press machine can be used, for example, at a pressure of 180 to 22
Even in sublimation transfer, which requires a temperature of 0°C, according to the present invention, sufficient transfer can be performed at about 150°C, so the heat resistance is poor,
Transfer printing can also be performed on substrates that have been considered difficult in the past. Further, since there is no need for a large pressure load as in the case of a press, the present invention can be satisfactorily applied to base materials with relatively low mechanical strength such as destruction or deformation.

Furthermore, uniform and good transfer printing is possible even on a base material having a complicated uneven surface as in the above example. Furthermore, according to the present invention, since the gas impermeability and elasticity of the flexible sheet 4 are used to apply pressure, transfer paper made of inexpensive materials such as paper can be used, and the flexible sheet can be reused. Transfer printing can be done at low cost.

Incidentally, as shown in FIG. 1, the edges of the flexible sheet may not be sealed with the lid 5, but may be left open and adsorbed to the object to be transferred.

The sublimable dye that can be used in the present invention may be any dye that sublimes at about 50 to 250 DEG C., or any dye or pigment that melts and transfers within the same temperature range. The objects to be transferred that can be used in the present invention include knitted fabrics, non-woven fabrics, synthetic resin molded products, etc., and may be those with a flat surface, those with uneven surfaces, non-flexible ones, flexible ones, etc. .

In addition, noncombustible materials and other materials that are not suitable for dyeing can be used if a dyeable material such as acrylic resin or epoxy resin is applied to the base material in advance or mixed into the image forming ink. For example, it can be made of solid wood board, wooden board, metal board, painted slate, plastic board, leather, hardened leather, ceramic, asbestos, cement board, etc., and it is also possible to use non-combustible paper. Further, after transfer printing, a more beautiful product can be obtained by further coating with a synthetic resin such as acrylic resin, epoxy resin, or polyester. Although the above example shows an example in which an infrared heater is used as the heating means, the heating method is not limited to this, and heating may be performed by any method such as a method using hot air or high-frequency induced current, or a method in which a heater is provided in advance in the flexible sheet 4. I can do it. Example A sheet board with many irregularities on the surface is coated with an acrylic resin that has good dyeability with a sublimable dye, and a transfer paper carrying a sublimable dye and a silicone rubber sheet are layered in this order.
When the transfer was carried out under the conditions of suction at 150 Hg through the holes in the base, a flexible sheet surface temperature of 180° C., and 20 seconds, both the convex and concave portions were uniformly dyed.
