In the past, power switches were often attached to the side of the calculator body, but as calculators become thinner, it becomes more difficult to do so, and they are now forced to be placed on the same surface as the keyboard. In addition, the switch mechanism has come to be seen not only as a mechanical lock switch, but also as power switches P1 and P2, which turn the power on and off by setting and resetting electronic flip-flop circuits, as shown in Figures 5 and 6. Ta. In such a configuration, careless power-on will waste the battery, which must be avoided at all costs. In particular, as shown in Figures 5 and 6, if a keyboard with a contact type such as conductive rubber is used, the power switch PI will be turned on inadvertently, which is very inconvenient when the keyboard has a sacrificial object such as a credit card or a cash card. It is. This also applies when you carry it around in a flexible notebook case, business card holder, etc. Furthermore, conventional two-color molded plastic key tops are too thick and expensive for keyboard keys, which is undesirable.

。Therefore, it is convenient to provide letters and symbols by printing or the like on a uniformly flat key sheet, but this is not preferable because repeated contact with fingers or the like causes them to gradually peel off or fade, making them illegible. In view of the above points, the present invention provides an extremely suitable electronic device in which the power switch will not be turned on inadvertently no matter how the keyboard of the electronic device is bent, and the characters, symbols, etc. on the key surface will not be blurred. It provides: Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.

As shown in the figure, a signal P is transmitted from a transmitting electrode A to a counter electrode C via a capacitance C^, and a capacitance CB is transferred to a receiving electrode B.
transmitted via. If a finger touches the counter electrode C, most of the signal flows to the human body, and the signal P from the receiving electrode B weakens. The receiving side compares the reference signal ref and the received signal P, and when the received signal becomes smaller than the reference signal, it is detected that a key has been operated. If such a switch is used, the power switch will not be turned on unless a finger comes into contact with it, so it is extremely preferable for a thin, manoeuvrable calculator. Figure 2 shows A in a specific example.
, A' are transmitting side electrodes, and B and B' are receiving side electrodes.

The symbols or letters E and E' were formed on the back surface of the flexible sheet D by offset printing, silk printing, or the like. Therefore, since fingers do not touch directly, letters, symbols E, E
' is hardly faded. F is a board for transmitting electrodes A, A', receiving electrodes B, B', and wiring patterns G, G' for each of the electrodes, and a commonly used flexible printed circuit board may be used. Figure 3 shows another embodiment, in which symbols, colors, characters, etc. are printed by offset printing or screen printing on an insulating movable plate provided between the stamped substrate F and the sheet D, and the transparent electrode C and transparent sheet D so that they can be seen through them.

In other words, since C'' has a transparent electrode, the signal P is transmitted to the receiving electrode through the opposing electrode. In addition, since the signal P is not transmitted in the electrode part without the transparent electrode C'', each sheet can be identified by the combination of these. The transparent electrode used in this example is an inert vapor-deposited film, but aluminum vapor-deposited film, etc. A protective film may be further provided thereon.

With this structure, it is possible to provide an extremely preferable thin calculator that bends along the lines of the body even when placed in a pocket, so there is no possibility of bending or breaking due to cloth.
