Conventionally, Japanese Patent Publication No. 51-4084 was used as a method for repairing partially worn parts of the refractory lining of converters and other refining vessels.

This dry repair method uses powdered refractories and solid powdered fuel.
Oxygen is sprayed from a nozzle at the tip of the lance onto the high-temperature, e.g., 1,350-150,000 furnace wall surface of a refining vessel immediately after steel is tapped, and the refractory melted or semi-molten by the combustion flame is applied to the worn parts of the refractory lining. This is called the flame gunning method, which repairs by spraying and bonding refractories together.

This is because when repairing the wall of a cylindrical refining vessel, the damaged portion is repaired using only one nozzle 2, and therefore the lance described above needs to be bent. In the case of such known thermal spray lances, there is an inconvenience in that only spot repairs of damaged parts can be performed, and the repair process requires a long time. Furthermore, since refractory powder is injected, the nozzle is subject to severe wear and tear, and its lifespan is short. As a result, the thermal spraying lance itself may reach the end of its lifespan and become unusable, making it impossible to repair the lance when it is necessary, and therefore requiring a spare lance, which is not economical. This invention is a new thermal spraying lance developed with the aim of overcoming the drawbacks of the conventional thermal spraying lances described above.

It is constructed by attaching multiple nozzles oriented in multiple directions to a straight cylindrical lance, and each nozzle can be closed or opened freely. This configuration allows freedom in controlling the discharge amount, discharge range, and discharge direction. Adjustability allows refractory wall repairs to be performed most efficiently where needed and improves the life of the spray lance. The thermal spraying/spraying of the present invention will be described in detail below based on the description of the drawings showing preferred embodiments. The thermal spraying lance 1 of the present invention is composed of, for example, a quadruple pipe of the same type D, and the central passage 3 is provided with a spraying repair material (Mg○
10C powder) is made to flow together with carrier gas (N2), oxygen gas (approximately 50% or more) is made to flow in the annular passage 4 surrounding it, and the two outer ones surrounding the annular passage 4 are The outer annular passages 5a and 5b, which communicate with each other, are structured to allow cooling water to flow back and forth.

However, it is also possible to flow oxygen gas through the central passage 3 and flow the spray repair material from the annular passage 4. The above-mentioned lacquer lance 1 has the central passage 3 on the outer peripheral surface and the tip surface of the cylindrical portion.

The nozzle 2 is fixed so as to protrude in the radial direction with respect to the lance tube axis 1, even if it is branched from the middle of the path of the lance 1, and is also fixed at the tip in the tube axis direction. do. In the example shown in Fig. 2, an oblique shape is shown in consideration of the flow resistance due to the powder flowing into the central passage 3, but an example shown in Fig. 3, which is not oblique, is shown in which it protrudes in the radial direction. But that's fine. Regarding the arrangement of these nozzles 2 on the lance 1 that regulates the injection direction, one or more arbitrary plurality of nozzles 2 are installed in the circumferential direction if they are located on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical part.

In this preferred embodiment, one or more nozzles 2 are arranged in a row along the generatrix of the lance at each position. This arrangement of the nozzle 2 is convenient for repairing a wide area at once. As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, some plug cores 6 are removably attached to the nozzle 2 described above.

Regarding the method of attaching and detaching the spear core 6, since the nozzle is a double pipe, a plug core is used that closes both pipes. Since the injection pressure is high, it is preferable to provide a threaded portion inside the inner tube of the double tube and use a screw-in method. By using the plug core 6 in this way, it becomes possible to control the discharge direction, discharge amount, and discharge range, and it is possible to repair the refractory wall surface without waste in accordance with the location and degree of wear. In addition, the life of the thermal spray lance can be improved, which is economical.

In other words, by blocking all the nozzles on one side as shown in Figure 2, or by blocking every other nozzle on each side with a plug core, even if the nozzles in use are worn out, By applying a cypress core to this worn out nozzle and opening the blocked nozzle, repair can be carried out, so that the service life of the melting lance itself is extended and repairs can be made immediately when necessary. As explained above, according to the thermal spraying lance of the present invention, targeted repairs can be carried out efficiently, and significantly superior effects can be expected in terms of the life span, cost, and operating rate of the refining vessel.
