This packaging band is made by melt-extruding a polyolefin synthetic resin into a band shape, stretching it, and then compressing it using two pressure rolls having an uneven surface to give it an uneven surface. In this case, the partial pressure by the roller causes confusion in the orientation of the micelle molecules, and the cleavage portion that occurs in the oriented portion of the micelle molecules is prevented from spreading in the longitudinal direction, and the uneven surface is sufficiently It provides frictional resistance. However, the compressed parts 2, 2 of the rollers are continuous with the side edge parts 1, 1 of the packaging band, and the shape thereof becomes a sawtooth shape.

For this reason, in order to hold the band as a handle when carrying it after packaging/packing, the mirror-blade-shaped side edge portion 1,
There were many laceration accidents caused by 1. An object of the present invention is to prevent edge portions from forming on both sides of the band, thereby preventing laceration accidents during handling of packages.
The technical means of the present invention for solving the above problems is to melt and extrude a polyolefin synthetic resin into a band material using a slit nozzle having curled portions at both ends with appropriate continuity between them, and then cool it. After the stretching process under heating, only the central part, excluding the green curled parts at both ends, was deformed under pressure using a pair of pressure rolls with uneven surfaces, so that the orientation of the micelle molecules in this part was mixed. be.

According to the above technical means of the present invention, the curled portions at both ends formed by extrusion remain as curled portions even after the subsequent process is completed, and edge portions are generated at both ends of the band in the intermediate process as in the conventional method. Inconveniences can be prevented. The green curled portions at both ends of the band have a protective effect, and can prevent laceration accidents when the band is used as a handle. Further, since the present invention has the above configuration, it has the following unique effects. In other words, it is possible to integrally mold both ends of the packaging band into a tubular shape to protect the gripping hand, but in this case, since the protective parts provided at both ends are tubular, a slit nozzle for integral extrusion is required. However, in the case of the present invention, since both ends are curled, the structure of the slit nozzle is simplified.

Also, by the method described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 28-3837, it is possible to form solid rounded portions at both ends in the same way, but in this case, the nozzle structure becomes complicated as well as the above. Therefore, more material is used for the green portions at both ends than in the above structure of the present invention. The material used in this part is excessive in terms of the required strength of the band, and is a waste of material consumption. Since this type of packaging band is produced continuously in large quantities, the disadvantages due to wasted material costs in the above-mentioned parts are significant. This also applies to those that form the hollow portions described above. In comparison, the above-described configuration of the present invention eliminates these disadvantages.

Furthermore, if there is uneven thickness as in the above example, the amount of stretching will be different between the thick and thin parts during the stretching process, and the difference in the degree of stretching in the cross section of the band will cause Although variations occur in the tensile strength of the band, such inconvenience does not occur with the above configuration.

The extruded band-like material A immediately enters the water tank 8 and is hooked. After being cooled while passing through a guide 9 made of, for example, a NIP roll 01, it is guided. A stretching roll 11 is provided at an appropriate distance from the nip roll 10, and a heating device 12 is interposed between the rolls and the material A between the nip roll 0 and the stretching roll 11 is stretched under heating to achieve longitudinal molecular orientation (micellar orientation). After causing molecular orientation), the band is passed between two pressure rolls 13, 13 to create a concave surface on the band surface and to create micellar molecular orientation in the width direction of the band. It is something to take.

In the above, as shown in FIG. 4, the switch IJ nozzle 7 has a shape consisting of curled parts 15a, 15b at both ends and a parallel part 16 connecting them.
The surface of the band is made to have an uneven surface, the recesses 17 are formed in a cross pattern, and the width of the roll is made to match the width of the parallel part 16 of the band after stretching.

In the case of the packaging band as shown in Fig. 2 manufactured through the above process, there is no saw-toothed edge in the longitudinal direction like the follower.
Even if you hold this band as a handle after packing, there is no fear of causing lacerations on the side of the grip.

In particular, when both sides 3a and 3b are formed into curled portions as in the illustrated embodiment, the above-mentioned effect is further improved since the curled portions exhibit a cushioning function. Furthermore, since the parallel portion 16, which occupies most of the band, has an uneven surface, and the micelle molecule composition is mixed in this portion, it is possible to prevent the cleavage portion from spreading in the longitudinal direction, and to prevent the split portion from spreading in the longitudinal direction. The effect of frictional resistance is the same as the conventional one.

As described above in detail, the method for manufacturing a packaging band of the present invention involves extruding and molding the band material A using the slit nozzle 7 having curled portions 15a and 15b at both ends and connecting them appropriately. This is cooled by an appropriate means, and after the heating and stretching process, the curled portions of the green ends 3a, 3b of the packaging band are deformed by pressure using a pair of pressure rolls 13, 13 having uneven surfaces, and the micelle molecules in the portions are deformed. Since the band is characterized by intersecting orientations, a packaging band that exhibits the above-mentioned effects can be manufactured at low cost without making any major changes to conventional manufacturing methods through continuous production.
