However, in the case of continuous long data, it is often more convenient to fold the data. Furthermore, when folding paper is used, it is well known that conventionally, the central part of the bottom of the storage box is left intact, and the continuous paper that is discharged is automatically folded from the crease by its own weight. However, for example, the folds of continuous paper that pass through pressure and heat rollers, such as those in the heat roller fixing device of electrophotographic printers, contract due to heat and stretch due to pressure, resulting in their own weight. It is extremely difficult to fold it. The present invention improves the above-mentioned drawbacks and provides an apparatus for folding and storing continuous paper by creating creases therein.

'' is a discharge roller as a first conveyance means rotating in the direction of the arrow with the continuous paper sandwiched between them, and 13', 13... are second and third discharge rollers that are in contact with and follow the discharge rollers 14', 14'', respectively.
Continuous paper gripping rollers serve as conveyance means, and gripping rollers 3' and 13 are connected to each other by connecting rods 17' and 17'' so that they can move around the center of the river as an axis.

When ' is operated, the connecting rod 17' rotates, and the gripping roller 13' moves to the position of the gripping roller 13'', that is, to the position where it almost contacts the ejection roller 14'' while keeping the periphery of the ejection roller 4' in pressure contact. At this time, the continuous paper 11 is held between the ejection roller 4' and the gripping roller 3'' in a state where they are almost in contact with each other, but since the conveyance directions of the rollers are opposite to each other, the continuous paper 11 is not forwardly conveyed, so it is not ejected. At this time, the continuous paper conveyed by the rollers 14' and 14'' is held between the discharge roller 14' and the gripping roller 3'', and a crease is formed. Then, the force of the spring 19' pushes the continuous paper to the position of the gripping roller 3'. The layer is folded back. The manner in which folds appear in the continuous paper will be explained in more detail with reference to FIG.

互に出来ることは言うまでもない。When the gripping roller 13'' comes to the position shown in the figure, that is, to the position where it almost touches the discharge roller 4'', the continuous paper initially advances along the circumference of the discharge roller 4'', but the paper does not reach the discharge roller 4''.
Frictional force at position b where the gripping rollers 13'' and 13'' almost contact each other (due to the weak pressure at which the ejection roller 14'' and the gripping roller 13'' almost contact each other in an attempt to transport them in opposite directions) Due to the conveyance force, the continuous paper is actually in a slip state where it is not forward conveyed (frictional resistance) and the conveyance force at the contact position a between the discharge roller 14' and the discharge roller 14'' causes the discharge rollers 14', 14'' and the gripping roller to 13

The continuous paper that receives the forward conveying force only at `` creates a loop as shown by the broken line. This loop is formed. This loop gradually becomes larger and is in pressure contact with the pressing position d of the discharge roller 4' and the gripping roller 13''. 4' and the gripping roller 3'' to form a fold. Then, the gripping roller 13'' is moved back by the spring, and the continuous paper is separated from between the discharge roller 14' and the gripping roller 3''. Although the above explanation deals with only one direction, it goes without saying that the folds can be made alternately by alternately operating the plungers 18' and 18'' shown in FIG. 2 by the paper length detecting means 15.
