The purpose is to ensure that the thermal fuse operates (melts out) before it melts.

付図面とともに説明する。Conventionally, this type of thermal fuse has usually been installed near the rear of the iron base for reasons such as wiring.
However, when steam is ejected, the thermostat is continuously turned on and the water dripping position is at the front of the base, so the temperature at the rear of the base tends to be higher than the temperature at the center of the base. . Therefore, when the thermal fuse is attached to the rear of the base as described above, the temperature at the rear of the base rises rapidly when steam is ejected, resulting in the disadvantage that the thermal fuse is easily blown, that is, malfunctions. In addition, since the difference between the temperature at the rear of the base and the rated operating temperature of the thermal fuse becomes small, it has the disadvantage that it may melt at a temperature lower than the initial operating temperature (a malfunction called "premature rupture"). Furthermore, in the horizontal dry state and the heel rest state, if the thermostat short-circuits, the base surface temperature will rise rapidly overall, but there will be a time difference in temperature rise near the rear of the base, so it will not be as high as before. In the case where a thermal fuse was attached to the rear of the base, the base would blister and melt by the time the thermal fuse was activated. Therefore, in the worst case scenario, molten aluminum could flow into the heater terminals, causing a short circuit, which was extremely dangerous. The present invention eliminates the above-mentioned conventional drawbacks, and embodiments thereof will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

5 is a thermostat installed on the base I, and 6 is a thermal fuse connected in series to the main circuit consisting of the heater 2 and thermostat 5, which is placed on the lid 3 and is oriented in the longitudinal direction of the base. It is installed almost in the center.

The temperature of the mounting portion of the fuse 6 has a large difference from the rated operating temperature of the same-temperature fuse 6, thereby preventing malfunction.

When attached, it is possible to accurately follow temperature changes on the base surface without being heated rapidly by the heater. As described above, the present invention provides a thermal fuse that satisfies both of the contradictory phenomena of malfunctioning when steam is ejected and malfunctioning when a thermostat is short-circuited, and provides a reliable safety device. .
