DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an ink composition that breaks the conventional concept of water-based inks and oil-based inks, has properties intermediate between water-based inks and oil-based inks, and compensates for the drawbacks of both.

More specifically, it eliminates the toxicity of oil-based inks and the water resistance of water-based inks. In particular, this ink is suitable for use in overhead projectors and whiteboards. Inks used for writing instruments, recorders, and printing are divided into two types, oil-based inks and water-based inks, depending on the solvent in the ink components.

For example, for writing odor, water-based inks such as Signben and oil-based inks such as Feltven are used, and the components of each ink differ accordingly. However, although water-based inks use water-soluble dyes and oil-based inks use oil-soluble dyes, they have the following drawbacks.

Types of dyes include acid dyes, direct dyes, and basic dyes, and each dye is used depending on the color of the ink. Direct dyes are used for applications that require water-resistant inks, but since they are water-soluble dyes, their water resistance has their own limits. In terms of usage, it is suitable for general writing, but it cannot be used for overhead projectors or whiteboards because it does not get wet and has poor erasability. ■ In the case of oil-based ink, petroleum-based and/or aromatic hydrocarbons, or cellosolve-based solvents are used as the solvent.

Since dyes are generally oil-soluble and alcohol-soluble dyes that are insoluble in water, water resistance is generally good. However, due to the toxicity of solvents, less toxic ones have become desired, but there are only a few types of dyes that are easily soluble in such solvents, such as petroleum hydrocarbons, and the dyes are expensive. There have also been attempts to reduce the amount of oil-based solvents used in ink compositions, but these attempts have not been successful. Furthermore, although several types of solvents are used in whiteboard inks, none of them are satisfactory in terms of toxicity, and although alternatives such as water-based inks have been considered, none have been satisfactory. There were problems such as.

The amount used varies depending on the type and amount of water and oily solvent, but it is preferably 10 to 5 parts by weight; if it is less than 1 part by weight, a stable solubilized product cannot be obtained, and if it is more than 50 parts by weight, it is not stable. Although a solubilized product can be obtained, it is not desirable as an ink composition. Pentane, oil lagoon solvent that can be solubilized in water;
Hexane, heptane, octane, nonane and mixtures thereof, benzene, toluene, xylene and mixtures thereof, etc. can be used, and 5 to 3 parts by weight is the amount that will stably solubilize in water, and 30 parts by weight or more will be solubilized. Even if the type and amount of the agent are changed, a stable solubilized product cannot be obtained. As a coloring agent,
General oil-soluble dyes can be used. The amount used is preferably 1 to 2 parts by weight; if it is less than 1 part by weight, it is meaningless as an ink composition, and if it is more than 2 parts by weight, it cannot be used as an ink composition because the dye will not dissolve uniformly. The most important feature of the present invention is that a surfactant as a solubilizer and an oil-soluble solvent are mixed and uniformly dissolved in advance, and water is added as necessary to prepare an ink composition.
