In this case, the length from which the optical fiber cable 4 can be taken out is the sum of the length from the branch pipe 2 to the terminal portion 6 of the power cable 3 and the extra length of the composite cable 1. Considering economic efficiency, it is desirable that the laying length of the composite cable 1 be as short as possible, and it is usually less than 2 to 3 skins. Therefore, the length that the optical fiber cable 4 can be taken out is about 4 to 5 inches at most, and if the device 5 to be connected is further away than this, it is necessary to connect the cable 4 via the connection part 7. However, the position of the above-mentioned connection part 7 is limited by the above-mentioned extra length of installation, and the position thereof is not necessarily suitable for installation of the connection part 7, for example, it is inconvenient for assembly work or maintenance work. It can be a strange place.

ている。Especially when the power cable terminal stands up inside the cubicle, it is difficult to route the optical fiber inside the cubicle with a sufficient bending radius, and even if it is possible to assemble and maintain the power cable terminal, This causes inconvenience to the work and may even damage the optical fiber cable. The object of the present invention is to provide a method for processing the terminals of a composite cable that solves the above-mentioned problems.

Connect directly to device 5.

To take out the optical fiber cable 4 from the stripping section 8, as shown in FIG. 3, it is cut as close to the front end of the stripping section 8 as possible, and the cable is untwisted while being taken out.

The composite cable terminal processing method according to the present invention, as described above, strips the sheath of the composite cable at a position appropriately distanced from the terminal of the composite cable toward the base end, and cuts the optical fiber cable at the stripped portion. Since the cut end of the optical fiber cable is taken out and branched, the branching position of the optical fiber cable can be selected at any position, and the connection to equipment or connection for addition can be made by taking out the power cable. This can be done without any length restrictions and can solve all the conventional problems at once. In addition, it is possible to perform optical fiber cable branching work completely independently of power cable terminal assembly work. For example, even if there is a delay in installing cubicles for power cables, work related to optical fiber cables can be performed. It also has the effect of shortening the construction period.
