。本発明実施の1例を別紙図面に付説明する。Furthermore, a device of this kind has been proposed in which a voltage is applied in advance between the torch and the base material, and when the two come into contact, the voltage changes and this is known. ), the voltage is relatively low for work safety reasons, and especially considering the case where there is a workpiece on the main village through the odor control and the torch comes into contact with the workpiece, the voltage is relatively low. and the pick-up device and are attenuated, thus having the disadvantage that the detection of changes therein is relatively difficult. The purpose of this invention is to obtain a device that does not have the above disadvantages.
On the outer periphery of the welding torch extending from the welding machine body, an inner cylindrical conductor contact and an outer cylindrical elastic or flexible conductor contact opposing this with a gap are provided. A contact detector is configured by applying a low voltage between both contacts, and further includes a detector for detecting a change in voltage due to contact between both contacts, so that a signal can be obtained from the detector. . An example of implementing the present invention will be explained with reference to the attached drawings.

It is equipped with a contactor 3 and an outer cylindrical elastic or movable conductor contactor 5 facing the contactor 3 with a gap 4 therebetween, and an external power source 6 is provided between the contactors 3 and 5. A low voltage is applied to form a contact detector as a whole, and furthermore, a sensor 7 of the type or other type that detects a change in voltage due to contact between both contacts 3 and 5 is connected to the power source 6 and its input. An amplifier 8 is provided on the side, so that when the detector 7 is actuated, a relay contact or other contact 9 is closed and an output signal is obtained therefrom. The output signal may be sent to an alarm (not shown) to generate an alarm, or sent to a stop switch to stop the welding machine, or the like. In general, both contacts 3 and 5 are braced with each other via insulating materials 10 and 10 at both ends, and the above-mentioned interval 4 is obtained between them.

The impact can be alleviated by intervening. Note that the outer contactor 5 is generally made of aluminum foil, copper foil, or other metal foil, for example. To explain the operation, consider a case where the welding torch 1 accidentally comes into contact with a workpiece prepared on the side of the workpiece, that is, the base material 2 via a pick-up tool, or other foreign matter. acts on the outer contactor 5 to press and deform it inward, thus creating a contact between both contacts 3 and 5, through which the voltage is introduced, and the change is detected by the detector 7. be done.
