[Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention relates to a method for raising and managing chickens, and more specifically, a perch with a load cell is installed in a chicken house in which a large number of chickens of approximately the same age are kept free-range, and a perch with a load cell is installed to control the behavior of the chickens. The present invention relates to a method for automatically measuring the weight of cranes using the technology to estimate the growth rate of chickens in a chicken house, and managing the breeding of cranes in accordance with a standard growth curve.

If this growth conforms to the so-called standard growth curve, layer hens will be better able to maintain their egg production, and breeder hens will have higher fertilization and formation rates, leading to better management of breeding hens. It is useful for improvement. Conventionally, when measuring the weight of free-range chickens in a poultry house, the weight of the chickens was measured using a scale, such as by catching the chickens, holding them still so as not to move their legs or wings.

However, in actual poultry houses, it is difficult to catch the chickens, and the measurement work is extremely inefficient because the chickens are stuck in their legs and wings.Furthermore, chasing the chickens causes stress to the cranes, which has a negative impact on their growth. There is. For this reason, the number of samples taken to measure the weight of chickens is small, and this weight measurement is not carried out frequently, so the results of measuring the growth rate of chickens in the chicken house are inaccurate, and breeding management based on this data. Under this, there was a problem that although the data matched the standard growth curve, it did not match in real terms. The present invention has been made in view of these circumstances, and it is applicable to chickens whose habit of sitting on a perch is almost the same age, and whose feeding amount is controlled and who are growing according to a standard growth curve. This method was developed based on the fact that the number of cranes can be calculated backwards from the total weight of multiple cranes. Measuring the weight of chickens does not require any manual effort such as catching the chickens, so the number of chicken samples to be measured can be increased, and the number of weight measurements can be increased, so the growth of chickens in the chicken house can be improved. The purpose of this method is to provide an accurate breeding management method that allows cranes to grow according to a standard growth curve, with accurate measurement results. A perch with a load cell on which one or several chickens can sit is installed in a free-range chicken house, the weight of the chicken on the perch is detected by the load cell, and this weight is calculated from the standard growth curve of chickens. Calculate the number of chickens on the perch by dividing it by the standard weight determined according to their age, and the number of chickens that get on and off the perch and sit on the perch becomes the preset number of measurement samples. Calculate the average weight by adding the weights of the chickens up to 100, divide the total weight by the number of chickens on the perch, estimate the average weight as the weight of all the chickens in the chicken house, and calculate the average weight and the standard weight above. This is a method of raising and managing cranes that controls the feed amount by comparing the chicken's body weight and grows the chickens according to a standard growth curve.

This arithmetic processing unit converts the amplified weight signal into weight, and divides this weight by the standard weight determined according to the age in days from the standard growth curve 1 set in advance. Calculate the number of chickens and the average weight value (in case of one chicken, its weight), perform the above calculation until the preset number of samples is reached, and when the predetermined number of samples is reached, sit on the perch 4. Calculate the average weight of all chickens. The display section includes a digital switch 6a for setting the number of samples, a digital switch 6b for setting the standard weight value, a display 6c for displaying the average weight value of the chickens corresponding to the number of samples, and a display unit 6c for displaying the number of chickens to be measured. It is composed of a display 6d that displays the maximum average weight value of each measurement until the number of samples is reached, and a display 6e that displays the maximum and average weight values. Although not shown in the figure, the chicken that is on the perch 4 and whose weight has been measured is quickly taken down so that another chicken can get on it.
A device for swinging the perch 4 is attached.

In this way, when the chicken sits on the perch 4, its weight will be measured, but as the chicken on the perch 4 moves, the output voltage waveform of the load cell 2 will constantly change as shown in Figure 3. do.

Therefore, the problem is which part of this output signal waveform should be taken as the weight of the chicken. In this embodiment, as a result of experiments, the predetermined amplitude v is kept within 3% of the maximum value for a predetermined time t.
It was preferable to set 0.9 mm each, and to measure this as the body weight when the state of the predetermined amplitude v continued for a predetermined time t or more, since there was less error.

Furthermore, if the chicken gets off the perch 4 within the set predetermined time, the crane is treated as not getting on the perch 4, and its weight is not measured. Next, we will explain how to raise and manage chickens.

A perch 4 with a load cell 2 is installed in a chicken house where a large number of chickens of approximately the same age are kept free-range, and a display device 6 is placed in a place where it can be easily managed. Then, a predetermined number of samples is set using the digital switch 6a, and a standard weight value is set using the digital switch 6b. This number of samples allows accurate estimation of the weight of all chickens in the chicken house. However,
Chickens get on and off the perch 4 according to their habits, and if the chicken on the perch 4 stays in a predetermined state for a predetermined period of time or more, that is, in a state where the output voltage waveform of the load cell 2 has a predetermined amplitude, the weight of the chicken is determined. The weight of the next chicken is measured in the same way by placing it on the perch 4. Measurement of body weight is continued in this manner until the number of samples set by the digital switch 6a is reached.

When this measurement reaches the set number of samples, the measured body weight is processed by the arithmetic processing section of the display device 6 into a maximum average weight value, a minimum average weight value, and an average weight value, and these values are displayed on the displays 6c, 6d, 6e. The displayed average weight value is taken as the average weight of all the chickens in the chicken house, and the chickens are reared and managed so that the chickens' growth matches the standard growth curve 1 by comparing it with the standard weight value and controlling the feed amount. It is.

In this way, according to the present invention, it is possible to determine the weight of chickens in a chicken house without requiring any human intervention, and for this reason, it is possible to increase the number of crane samples to be measured. The number of weight measurements can also be increased, and the measured weights can therefore be used to estimate the weight of all chickens in a poultry farm with great accuracy, allowing the chickens to be kept and managed in a way that matches their growth to standard growth curves.
