ンネル5と溶接後、ルーフ2との間隔1を一定に調整し
ながらルーフボウ3の接合端部6をサイドルーフレール
4に〔具体的にはインナサイドルーフレール7に〕ネジ
8で締付けるものであり、又「溶接方法」は第4図で示
すようにルーフ2を被せていない車体1に室外よりルー
フボウ3をセットしルーフボウ3の接合端部6をサイド
ループレール4と〔具体的にはインナ及びアウタサ・イ
ドルーフレール7、9の上端接合部10と〕溶接後、ル
ーフ2をサイドルーフレール4のトリップチャンネル5
と溶接するものである。尚、図中11は接着剤で、ルー
フ2とルーフボウ3の間に介在されるものである。しカ
ルながら、このような従来のルーフボウの取付方法にあ
つて、前者の「ネジ止め方法」では間隔1の精度維持が
図れるもののルーフ2を被せた後でルーフボウ3を取付
けるため室内作業を行なわねばならず作業性が悪く作業
者に腰痛等が生ずる不具合があり、又後者の「溶接方法
」ではルーフボウ3の溶接固定前にループ2を取付ける
ため作業は容易であるものの「スキ」と称する間隔lの
精度維持が困難なため場合によつてはルーフボウ3の突
上げに因りループ2に凸部が生じたり、逆にルーフボウ
3と接着されずに浮き上り、これによりループのべこつ
きが生じループ2の支持・補強がうまくゆかないという
不具合がある。

ウを仮取付けし固定しない状態でループを被せループの
溶接固定に依り間隔1の精度を確保しつつルーフボウの
取付けを併せ行なうことのできる方法とすることにより
、上記の不具合を解決せんとすることを目的としている

非固定状態て仮取付けし、スペーサを間に介在させた状
態でループを上側よりルーフポウと一定間隔を保つて被
せ、この被せたループの側縁をサイドルーフレールのド
リツプチヤンネルと溶接する際に、スペーサを介しルー
プにてルーフボウの全体を押下げ且つ上記間隔を確保し
た状態でたわませ、先の仮取付け状態を修正し、ループ
とサイドルーフレールとの溶接固定後に車体塗装工程の
加熱炉内で上記接着剤を加熱硬化してルーフボウの接合
端部をサイドルーフレールに且つループをルーフボウに
各々固定することとしたため、ルーフボウの取付けはル
ープを未だ溶接固定していない車体の室外より穴と爪の
係合及び未硬化状態の接着剤を介して仮取付けし且つル
ープをルーフボウの上側へ被せた際にルーフボウ.を押
下け且つたわませて仮取付け状態を修正して行なうこと
ができるから取付作業性が向上でき、又接着剤は車体塗
装工程の加熱炉を利用してそこで加熱硬化することによ
り接着状態を固定することになるのでその分取付け処理
が簡単であり、又ループとルーフボウとの間隔はループ
の取付けに追随させて調整でき、それもスペーサを介し
て正確な間隔精度を得ることができるという効果がある

イドルーフレールの上端接合部に形成した取付平面に予
め爪を備え且つこの取付平面及び上記接合端部のいずれ
か一方に熱硬化性の接着剤を施し、上記穴と爪とを係合
して未硬化状態の上記接着剤を介しルーフボウをサイド
ルーフレールに対し非固定状態で仮取付けし、スペーサ
を間に介在させた状態でルーフを上側よりルーフボウと
一定間隔を保つて被せ、この被せたルーフの側縁をサイ
ドルーフレールのドリップチャンネルと溶接する際に、
スペーサを介してルーフにてルーフボウの全体を押下げ
且つ上記間隔を確保した状態でたわませ、先の仮取付け
状態を修正し、ルーフとサイドルーフレールとの溶接固
定後に、車体塗装工程の加熱炉内で上記接着剤を加熱硬
化してルーフボウの接合端部をサイドルーフレールに且
つルーフをルーフボウに各々固定することを特徴とする
ルーフボウの取付方法。
