影響を受ける。このため磁気テープは磁気特性の違いに
よりノーマル系、クローム系、フェリクローム系の3種
類に大別される。これら磁気テープにより最適イコライ
ザが異なることは衆知の事実であるが、同一種類間でも
メーカやロッドによりバラツキがあることも衆知 の事
実である。このため最近平担な周波数特性を得ることを
目的に、使用する個々の磁気テープ毎に、自動的に最適
イコライザを設定する装置が種々提案されている。発明
者等が先に提出した装置を第1図に示す。 1は入力端
子、2は基準信号発振回路、3はマ イクロコンピュー
タなどで構成される制御回路、 4は可変イコライザ回
路、5は固定イコライザ回路、6は記録ヘッド、7は磁
気テープ、8は再生ヘッド、9は再生イコライザ回路、
10はA/D変換器、11〜13は磁気テープ7の種類
を選択するテープセレクタ、11′〜13′はテープ指
示信号である。

号を出力し、この基準信号は可変イコライザ回路4、固
定イコライザ回路5、記録ヘッド6を介して磁気テープ
7に記録される。この時可変イコラ・Iサ回路4は制御
回路3からの制御信号により可変される。例えば制御信
号が4ビットであれば1鍛階のLj変が可能である。さ
て磁気テープ7に記録された前記基準信号は再生ヘッド
8により検出され、再生イコライザ回路9を介し、次段
のA/D変換器10でディジタル信号に変換され、制御
回路3に入力されて基準値と比較演算され、演算結果に
より更に制御回路3は可変イコライザ回路4を制御する
。かくして基準信号が基準値と一致すると制御回路3は
可変イコライザ回路4を最適イコライザとして設定保持
する。上記は比較的低域てある1KHzのイコライザ設
定について述べたが、同様にして7K圧で中域のイコラ
イザを、14KHZで高域のイコライザを最適値に設定

よれば、イコライザを可変中にテープセレクタの誤操作
を防止することにより、固定イコライザ回路が切替わる
ことによる最適イコライザが求まらなくなることを防止
でき、円滑に最適イコライザを設定する磁気記録再生装
置を提供できるので便利である。
