これをモータ9により連続駆動し、前記クラッチと各駆
動軸6に設けたブレーキ10とにより小コンベヤ5a〜
5dの起動・停止制御を行う。各コンベヤ2、5a〜5
dの側方適所に新聞束検出器としてそれぞれ光電スイッ
チ11、11a、llb、llc、lldを等間隔に設
ける。小コンベヤ5a〜5dは次の条件によつて停止す
る。即ち、先頭の小コンベヤ5aは新聞束M1、M2が
それぞれ光電スイッチ11、llaを共に遮光したとき
、小コンベヤ5bは小コンベヤ5aが停止し且つ新聞束
M3が光電スイッチ11フbを遮光したとき、小コンベ
ヤ5cは小コンベヤ5bが停止し且つ新聞束M4が光電
スイッチ11cを遮光したとき、また小コンベヤ5dは
小コンベア5cが停止し且つ新聞束M5が光電スイッチ
11dを遮光したときにそれぞれ停止する。したがつて
、新聞束M1〜M5が相接して到来し、先頭の新聞束M
1が送出コンベヤ2に移乗して光電スイッチ11を遮光
すれば、後の光電スイッチ11a〜11dはすべて遮光
されるから、小コンベヤ5aが停止すると共に、後続小
コンベヤ5a〜5dも次々と停止し、新聞束M2〜M5

とに互に等間隔をもつて設けた移送物検出器と、各小コ
ンベヤに個別に設けた起動・停止装置と、該起動・停止
装置を作動させる制御装置とを有し、該制御装置は、前
段の送出コンベヤもしくは小コンベヤの移送物検出信号
と次段の小コンベヤの移送物検出信号とのアンド信号に
よつて前記次段の小コンベヤを停止させる停止制御回路
と、前段の送出コンベヤもしくは小コンベヤの移送物検
出信号が消失してから所定時限後に次段の小コンベヤを
起動させる起動制御回路とを具えることを特徴とする移
送間隔拡げ装置。
