法を得ることを目的とする。For example, in a method of molding by applying hydraulic pressure to the inner mold from a cylindrical rest, an electric motor with a shape that does not allow the inner mold to be removed after molding, as shown in Figs. 1, 2, 3, and 4, is used. Machining the outer frame 1 is difficult. In addition, in the expansion method, molding is performed using inner and outer molds, which limits the plastic flow of the material, making it difficult to mold complex shapes that are close to the material's limit. Furthermore, asymmetrical machining as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has the disadvantage that an eccentric load is applied to the machine and the life of the drive unit is short. For such products, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, a cylindrical body 7 is placed inside an outer mold 6, and an elastic body 8 such as oil or rubber is placed inside this cylindrical body 7. Bulge forming, in which the elastic body 8 is pressurized by a pressure rod 9 and the cylindrical body 7 is pressed against the outer mold 6, does not have the above-mentioned problems. However, when considering the inner diameter accuracy, although the outer diameter accuracy is good with outer mold 6, the inner diameter of the part that has been deformed such as unevenness allows the material to move freely to the uneven part, so as a result, The plate thickness is reduced in the central portion 4 of the cylindrical body into which the stator core 5 is fitted. When the motor outer frame 1 as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is molded, due to this phenomenon, the inner diameter of the central portion 2 becomes larger than the inner diameter of the open end portion 3 where no uneven molding is performed. In addition, variations in accuracy occur because the influence of thickness deviation of the material appears on the inner diameter side. Therefore, when the stator core 5 is press-fitted into the center part 2 of the outer frame 1, the outer diameter of the stator core is a dimension that provides an appropriate tightening margin with respect to the inner diameter of the center part 2, and the opening end, which is the insertion port for the stator core 5, 3 has a larger interference margin than the center part 2. Therefore, it becomes difficult to insert the stator core 5, and if the stator core 5 is inserted forcibly, the inner diameter of the stator core may be deformed. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a method of manufacturing an outer frame of an electric motor that allows a stator core to be press-fitted smoothly.

The diameter D1 is a diameter that takes into account the reduction in the thickness of the central portion 2 due to molding and the thickness deviation of the material, and is set to be equal to or larger than the diameter formed in the central portion 2 as a result. The diameter D1 and the diameter D2 can be easily configured by a conventional plastic working method. The thus constituted cylindrical body 7 is placed in an outer mold 6 that fits the cylindrical body 7, as shown in FIG. 8, and bulge-formed. In the outer frame 1 formed by such a method, the inner diameter of the central portion 2 is the same as or smaller than the inner diameter of the open end portion 3. Therefore,
As shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, the stator core 5 is smoothly inserted into the open end 3 having a larger inner diameter.
The stator core 5 is press-fitted into the central portion 2 with an appropriate tightening margin. At this time, if the tightening margin of the central portion 2 increases due to deviation in the thickness of the material, the stator core 5 can be press-fitted without deforming the inner diameter due to the bulging effect of the uneven portion of the circumference. As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, the bulge-formed stator core 5 of the motor outer frame can be easily press-fitted by forming the inner diameter of the cylindrical body in advance so that the center part is smaller than the open end part. It becomes possible to do so.
