The present invention relates to a device for separating recording material with a wedge-shaped gap formed therein, in which recording material is guided from a supply roll to a take-up roll via a support plate.

This makes it possible, for example, to store the recording material in a space-saving manner, for example in the form of a roll, or to easily replace the recording material by means of a film transport mechanism. Therefore, it is necessary to change the composition of the recording material as follows.

In this case, the flexible recording material can be adhered to an electrically conductive, rigid, in particular transparent, support by electrostatic forces in order to define the image plane. Embodiments are also known in which the photoconductive layer and the thermoplastic layer form two independent layers one above the other. For recording, the material is generally electrostatically charged in the dark and an image is printed.

Controlled heating then transforms the charged image into a relief image. If desired, this relief image can be erased again by intense heating. It is well known to record and erase not only customary images but also holograms on such recording materials. It is well known (German Patent Application No. 1797156) to apply a pliable photoconductive foil to a carrier foil in contact with a support surface, in which a potential is established between the support surface and the conductive layer of the photoconductive foil. is generated so that both foils are attracted to each other by electrostatic forces while advancing. However, such methods present the difficulty of how to separate foils that are tightly adhered to each other by electrostatic forces. That is, it has been found that strong adhesion occurs when a potential is applied, so that separation cannot be performed easily and reliably without damaging the recording. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a device which makes it possible to quickly and reliably remove electrostatically charged recording material adhering to an electrically conductive support plate. .

A holding member is provided to hold the recording material immovably, and engages the recording material from the supply roll side to pull the recording material from the support plate below the support surface of the support plate under an acute separation angle with respect to the support plate. A separating mechanism is provided for pulling the recording material apart, and a holding member is provided for holding the recording material immovably to prevent the recording material from being fed out from the supply roll during separation of the recording material.

As a result, the tensile forces during detachment are kept low, so that detachment is possible with small components, without any undesirable elongation of the recording material itself. In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the holding element for holding the recording material immovably in order to prevent it from being pulled back consists of two rollers cooperating with each other and for pulling the recording material away from the support plate. The mechanism consists of a lever mechanism that engages the recording material and a motor that drives the lever mechanism.

In FIG. 1, the recording material 4 is electrically charged so that it is firmly attached to the support plate T. The recording material is imaged by two coherent beams 7 and 8 intersecting each other at an angle θ. The individual components for charging and for moving the film are arranged shallowly relative to the imaging plane, so that, for example, printing is still possible at angles θ of approximately 45 degrees with respect to the normal to the surface of the support plate T; It has been found to be extremely advantageous to avoid convergence of the light beam by the necessary components. After printing, a voltage is applied to the electrode 3 for a short time, whereby the charge image on the recording material 4 is developed via the heated conductive layer 2 into a deformed image.

If reflected light is used, the conductive layer 2 must not be transparent. In the customary printing of an image of directly ascertainable information, a corresponding phase-contrast image of the image is obtained as a deformed image. The deformed image can be erased again by thermal action.

There is. In order to separate the recording material 4 from the support plate T, the supply roll 5 engages the recording material 4 and moves the recording material 4 from the support plate T below the support surface of the support plate T at an acute angle with respect to the support plate. A separation mechanism is provided for separation under a separation angle. In this case, the separation mechanism consists of lever mechanisms 19, 20 that engage with the recording material 4 and push the recording material 4 below the support surface of the support plate T, and a motor 18 that drives the lever mechanisms 19, 20. . Furthermore, the recording material 4 from the supply roll 5 when pushing the recording material 4 below the support plate T

It consists of a small roller 31 that is located at a distance of m and engages the recording material 4, and a carriage 29 that supports the roller, and a holding mechanism that prevents the recording material 4 from being fed out from the supply roll 5 during separation. The component consists of two rollers 9,10. The carriage 29 holds the corona electrode 12, is guided by round bars 27 and 28 (FIG. 7), and is capable of reciprocating movement via a lever mechanism 30. The wedge-shaped separation process of the recording material 4 involves moving the carriage 29 from the rest position shown in FIG. 4 toward the support plate T almost parallel to the support plate T as shown in FIG. 5 (forward movement). The rollers 9, 10 are pressed together and locked together in order to hold the recording material 4 immovably. A short time lag is provided at the point of reversal of the carriage from the forward movement to the return movement, during which time the rollers 9, 10 are separated from each other and the recording material 4 is advanced by one section. Then,
The carriage 29 is returned to its rest position and at the same time a new section of recording material 4 is charged by the corona electrode 12 (FIG. 6). Since the return movement of the carriage 29 and the charging of the new section of recording material 4 take place simultaneously, the working process is reduced. Advantageously, the distance between the rollers 9 and 10 and the support plate is equal to the length of the recording material to be transported, so that the pressure points do not fall within the image area. It has been found to be extremely advantageous to feed the recording material only at the rear. This ensures that surfaces within the image area are not damaged.

The electrostatically charged flexible recording material, for example a foil with a thermoplastic photoconductive layer, is pulled away from the support plate with a continuously progressing wedge-shaped gap formed between the support plate and the recording material. In an apparatus in which the recording material is guided from a supply roll to a take-up roll via a support plate, the recording material 4 is placed between the take-up roll 6 and the support plate T.
A guide member 13 for guiding the recording material 4 and holding members 22 and 23 for holding the recording material 4 immovably to prevent the recording material 4 from being pulled back while the recording material 4 is being pulled off are provided. separation mechanisms 18, 19 that engage with the material 4 and separate the recording material 4 from the support plate T below the support surface of the support plate T under an acute separation angle with respect to the support plate T;
20:29, 30, 31 and a holding member 9, 21:9, which holds the recording material 4 immovably in order to prevent the recording material 4 from being fed out from the supply roll 5 during removal of the recording material 4;
10. A device for separating an electrostatically charged flexible recording material.
