This invention relates to a magnetic ink recording device that makes magnetic ink fly around the magnetic ink.The magnetic powder contained in the magnetic ink settles due to the magnetic force near the recording electrode, deteriorating the recording characteristics. The purpose of this is to prevent sedimentation of the aircraft, maintain good flight conditions, and perform stable, high-quality recording.

A needle-shaped recording electrode 1 is provided on an epoxy substrate 2, and a permanent magnet 3 for protrusion is attached in close contact with the recording electrode 1, so that the recording electrode 1 is magnetized. Further, a bar magnet 4 for supplying ink is closely attached to the protrusion magnet 3. The other end of the supply magnet 4 extends to an ink tank 6 filled with magnetic ink 5. With this configuration, the magnetic ink 5 in the ink tank 6 rises rapidly due to the magnetic force of the supply magnet 4, and flows from the upper end of the supply magnet 4 to the protruding magnet 3 and the recording electrode 1.
reach the department. Thereafter, undulating ink bulges are formed at the tip of the recording electrode 1 as shown in FIG. When this state is reached, when a predetermined voltage is applied between the recording electrode 1 and the counter electrode 7 according to the image signal, the ink is jetted from the raised convex portion of the magnetic ink by a cloner and onto the recording paper 8. It is attached and recorded. On the other hand, if the magnetic ink 5 is left in the recording electrode part for a long time when recording is not performed, the magnetite inside the magnetic ink 5 (F
The fine particles of e304) are attracted by magnetic force and gradually settle, and as shown in FIG.
, the uplift magnet 3, the supply magnet 4, etc., in a layered manner.

The present invention eliminates the above-mentioned drawbacks and provides a magnetic ink recording device that can stably record good images even after being left unused for a long time.

As a characteristic structure, the supply magnet 4 is divided into three parts, consisting of a lowermost part 4a, a middle part 4b, and an upper end part 4c. The central portion 4b is configured to be rotatable in the states shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, and the supply magnet 4 is separated in the middle, so that the supply of magnetic ink is stopped. The driving force is transmitted from the pulse motor 9 via the clutch 10, and the rotation of the central portion 4b of the supply magnet is controlled. A rotatable control magnet 11 extends in the direction in which the recording electrodes 1 are arranged.

and the magnetic path forming member 12 form a closed magnetic path, and leakage magnetic flux is extremely reduced. The rotational force of the control magnet 11 is also obtained from the pulse motor 9 via the clutch 13. Reference numeral 14 denotes an ink scattering prevention plate made of plastic, glass, or the like, which extends from the vicinity of the recording electrode 1 to the ink tank 6, and extends across the entire area of the recording electrode 1 in the width direction.

様の効果が得られる。To explain the operation of the above configuration, FIG. 4 shows the same state as the conventional configuration after recording has been completed. Next, pulse motor 9
, connect the clutches 10 and 13, and rotate the center portion 4b of the supply magnet and the control magnet 11 counterclockwise, changing from the state shown in FIG. 4 to the state shown in FIG. 5. In this way, the supply of ink from the ink supply tank 6 is stopped, and the magnetic ink 5 held around the recording electrode 1 is moved by the supply magnet 4c by the magnetic force of the strong control magnet 11. The flow is reversed and becomes the magnetic pole of the control magnet 11! It is adsorbed to the nearest ink scattering prevention plate 14. Next, the pulse motor 9 is rotated in the opposite direction and the clutch 13 is connected, and the control magnet 11 is rotated clockwise and returned to the position shown by the dotted line. Therefore, the magnetic ink 35 held on the ink scattering prevention plate 14 is moved by gravity to the ink scattering prevention plate 14.
and returns to ink tank 6. This state is maintained when not recording. At this time, since there is almost no ink on the recording electrode 1 and the protrusion electrode 3, the magnetic ink 5 does not settle. Further, since the magnetic force 4 of the supply magnet 4 is weak, not only is it difficult for ink to settle, but even if some sedimentation occurs on its surface, this part has little effect on ink supply and recording flight characteristics. To start recording again, pulse motor 9
, connect the clutch 10, and connect the center part 4 of the supply magnet.
b is rotated clockwise to the state shown in FIG. 4, magnetic ink 5 is supplied from the ink tank 6 to the recording electrode section, and recording is performed. In the above configuration, a permanent magnet is used as the means for attracting the magnetic ink (control magnet), but the same effect can be obtained even if it is configured using an electromagnet.

As a method of cutting off the ink supply from the ink tank 6, a structure may be adopted in which the magnetic flux distribution of the supply magnet is short-circuited to eliminate leakage of magnetic flux to the outside. A second embodiment is shown in FIGS. 6 and 7.

装置を提供するものてある。At the time of non-registration, the control magnet 15 is rotated so as to be attracted to the bump magnet 3, as shown in FIG. In this state, the lines of magnetic force from the N pole of the bump magnet 3 head toward the S pole of the control magnet 15, the lines of magnetic force coming out from the contact end of the recording electrode 1 are reduced, and the strength of the magnetic field is also reduced. Therefore, almost no magnetic ink 5 adheres to the inclined portions of the recording electrode 1 and the protruding magnet 3, the amount of ink that can be settled and the strength of the magnetic field are reduced, and the settling of the magnetic ink hardly becomes a problem.
As is clear from the above embodiments, in the present invention, during non-recording, the ink control magnet is used to remove the magnetic ink that adheres to the periphery of the recording electrode and the slope of the bumping magnet, thereby causing the magnetic ink to settle. An object of the present invention is to provide a magnetic ink recording device that hardly generates any of the above problems, maintains good ink flying conditions even during long-term use, and can always obtain recordings with stable image quality.
