Conventionally, when repairing and repainting damaged parts of polypropylene resin members, such as automobile bumpers,
There is a problem in that the putty used for shaping has poor adhesion to the resin surface, making complete repairs impossible. Chemical corrosion of the resin surface using an etching primer is also used as a base treatment, but since highly toxic organic solvents are used, there is a risk of contaminating the working environment, equipment costs are high, and workability is poor. There are also other problems.

In the case of shallow linear scratches as described in (A) above, the damaged area should be polished flat with sandpaper, and then subjected to a degreasing and cleaning process, a base treatment process using the base treatment agent, and a painting and drying process in sequence. This allows the bumper to be repainted.

A knife was used to make cuts in the form of a checkerboard on the damaged and non-damaged areas of the paint film obtained through steps () to () above, and the adhesion of the paint film was examined. The paint film did not peel off even after the test was repeated, and it was therefore found that the paint film and base film, the base film and putty, and the base film and bumper, that is, the polypropylene resin, were firmly adhered to each other.

As described above, according to the present invention, a base film is formed on the damaged part of a polypropylene resin member and its vicinity using a base treatment agent prepared by dissolving chlorinated polyolefin resin in an aromatic hydrocarbon solvent. The base film can be brought into sufficient adhesion to the member, and then putty is applied to the surface of the base film using a water-soluble epoxy resin putty with good adhesion, so the putty can be reliably attached to the base film. be able to. Thereafter, a base film is formed using the base treatment agent on the surface of the member to be coated, including the puttyed portion, and the surface of the base film is coated, so that the coating film can be firmly adhered to the base film.
