ング方式、ならびに第3図に示す、雄ハウジング
1の外周にOリング5を配設したOリング方式が
ある。しかし、ゴム栓方式は積極的な防止効果が
期待できず、またパツキング方式はパツキング4
を圧接させるための大きな挿入力を必要とするの
で、ハウジングの結合作業性が好ましくなく、さ
らにOリング方式は加工寸法のバラツキまたは経
時的変化によつて嵌合部分の遊隙量が変動したと
き防水性能が劣化し、かつ加工上の寸法管理が酷
になる等、それぞれの難点がある。
