れている。つまり、ドラム1は外径が拡縮する折
たたみ構造になつているのである。このような外
径の拡縮するドラム1に、拡径状態で外周に未加
硫ゴム引布を巻きつけ、重ね合わせ部分間の空気
抜き等のためにローラ3で押圧してカーカスバン
ド5が成型される。そしてその成型を完了したカ
ーカスバンド5はドラム1を縮径状態として抜き
取られ、次工程へ送られる。ところが、ドラム1
を縮径しても、カーカスバンド5とドラム1との
密着した部分が残存しており、その密着部分を引
き剥がしてカーカスバンド5をドラム1から抜き
出す作業に手間と時間がかかる問題があつた。
