With the increase in the number of portable electrical appliances, the consumption of dry batteries, mercury batteries, etc. is rapidly increasing, and waste management is becoming an important issue. Because these batteries are difficult to crush due to their structure, used batteries are collected in general trash cans or special containers, and then landfilled. However, batteries contain trace amounts of harmful substances such as mercury, so if today's mass consumption continues, large amounts of harmful substances will flow out of landfills and pose a risk to the human body. It is clear from experience that this will happen. Therefore, it is necessary to collect and store batteries in a specific container, detoxify them, and then send them for recycling or landfill. However, it is extremely difficult logistically to collect and store a large number of used batteries that are used and scattered everywhere, and there are also problems such as sensible heat due to residual electricity and the spread of leakage. Since then, it has been considered technically difficult.

FIG. 1 shows the basic system of the waste battery processing and storage apparatus according to the present invention, in which a lid 12 with an airtight seal provided on a receiving part 11 of a container 10 for storing batteries is opened and the inside of the container 10 is opened. Insert battery B into the When a large amount of batteries accumulate, sensible heat is generated in the container 10 due to the amount of residual electricity, necessitating ventilation for cooling. In addition, batteries that begin to leak waste fluid emit mercury vapor and other harmful substances that can fill the container in suspension.
