Description
【発明の詳細な説明】
この発明は車両用に用いられる内拡式ドラムブ
レーキのブレーキリング製造方法に関する。ブレ
ーキリングはブレーキシユーと共働してドラムブ
レーキを構成する主要部品であり、通常鋳鉄ある
いは高級鋳鉄によつて作られ、軽合金製のブレー
キドラムに鋳包んで用いられるものである。この
発明はブレーキドラムに鋳包むに先立つて行われ
るブレーキリングの仕上加工に関するものであ
る。更に詳しくは、2個分が一体的に鋳造された
素材を用い、これを旋削して制動面を仕上げると
共に、2個に切断する製造方法に関するものであ
り、その目的とするところは、最少の工程で能率

せた突条でブレーキドラム(図示してない)に鋳

る。3はブレーキリング2個分を一体的に鋳造し
た素材で、高級鋳鉄を鋳造して円筒状に作つてあ
る。素材3の内外側にある環状の小突起3aは鋳
造型の合わせ部に対応して生じた鋳バリであり、
前記爪チヤツク2は鋳バリ3aを避けるべく逃げ
2dが設けてある。第3図、第5図は第1または
第2工程終期における各刃物の位置関係を示すも
ので、各刃物は爪チヤツクの軸線C,Lの方向に
移動する第1刃物台4および軸線C,Lに直交す
る面内を進退する手前側の半部5aと向い側の半
部5bとを有する第2刃物台5に支持され、これ
らは旋削ユニツトを構成している。すなわち、第
1刃物台4には面取りバイト6、内周面切削バイ
ト7および爪チヤツク2と反対側の端面1bを切
削する正面バイト8とが支持されており、各バイ
トはボルト9によつて第1刃物台4へ螺締された
シヤンク11とその先端にボルト止めされたスロ
ーアウエイ形の超硬チツプ12とからなつてい

させると共に第1刃物台4を図中で右方へ移動さ
せて第3図で示すように内周面1a、端面1bお
