Conventionally, wiring conduits for columns of machine tools that only move horizontally to approach workpieces have been done by supporting wiring and piping wires and hoses with cable chains, etc. When the column is rotated for indexing purposes (hereinafter referred to as ``indexing'') for the purpose of changing the axial direction of the spindle head that is being This is done by passing electric wires and hoses through the center of the index. However, when installing a large number of wires and piping for a column that moves horizontally at the same time as indexing, simply combining the conventional wiring and piping methods described above will result in a complicated wiring and piping structure. The drawback was that the piping was prone to sagging and entanglement, which hindered the horizontal movement and indexing of the column of the machine tool.

The present invention was made in consideration of these points, and when wiring and piping from a fixed source to a column of a machine tool that moves horizontally with indexing operation, the number of wires and piping increases and the distance traveled is shortened. To provide a wiring and piping device capable of performing aesthetically pleasing wiring and piping without imposing an extra load on a machine even if the length of the wiring becomes long.

Wires 23a, 23b and piping 24a, 24b for power supply and oil supply are inserted into the flexible support member 15 from the fixed base 12 side. The wiring 23a is inserted through the tip 15a of the flexible support member 15, wound and inserted into the wiring space 19 of the wire receiving box 18, and connected to a power supply terminal near the top of the column 11. FIG. 4 is a diagram showing the winding state of this wiring 23a, and shows the entrance point A of the wire receiving box 18.
The wiring state between the exit point B (see FIG. 3) and the exit point B (see FIG. 3) is shown expanded for each index angle. As is clear from this figure, even if the entrance point A changes sequentially up to 360°C with respect to the fixed exit point B, the wiring 23a will not get tangled and will gradually bend and deform to maintain a good connection. can. Note that the indexing angle of the column may not necessarily be 360° depending on the processing conditions, and in this case, the entry point A is 360°.
Move in an angular range smaller than °C. In this case, the wiring space 19 of the wire receiving box 18 may be formed within a predetermined angle range of 360° C. or less. Further, the wiring 23b is inserted into a through hole formed through the center of the cylindrical fixing member 13, and is wired to the column 11 side. Further, the pipes 24a and 24b pass through the tip 15a of the flexible support member 15 and are connected to an oil passage 20 formed in the hollow cylindrical rotating member 14.

FIG. 5 is a partially enlarged view of a connection point between hollow link members 16a and 16b constituting the flexible support member 15. A pair of stoppers 25a, 25b are fixed to the ends of the hollow link members 16a, 16b, respectively. When one of the hollow link members 16a rotates by a predetermined angle θ, the stoppers 25a, 25b come into contact with each other, preventing further rotation. This prevents electric wires and hoses from bending below the minimum bending radius.

As shown in FIG.
When moving to the position indicated by , each hollow link member 16a, 16b rotates, and the flexible support member 15 curves. At this time, the tip end 15a of the flexible support member 15 rotates relative to the column 11, but this relative rotation is caused by the relative rotation between the cylindrical fixed member 13 and the hollow cylindrical rotating member 14. Therefore, the piping 24a, 24b will not be twisted. Further, as shown in FIG. 4, the electric wire 23a is wound within the electric wire receiving box 18 so that it does not get tangled with the top of the column 11. Similarly,
Even when the column 11 itself performs an indexing operation while horizontally moving, the relative rotation of the cylindrical fixed member 13 and the hollow cylindrical rotating member 14 causes the piping 24 to
The connection between a, 24b and the oil passages 20, 21 is maintained.

In addition, wiring 23a, 23b and piping 24a,

As explained above, according to the wiring and piping device of the present invention, the wiring and piping for power supply and oil supply can be always maintained in good condition without sagging or tangling for the indexing operation and horizontally moving column. I can do it. In addition, the wiring and piping from the fixed base to the top of the column are arranged within the flexible support member, making it aesthetically pleasing.

In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2, the column 11 can move freely within the range of the maximum radius R and the minimum radius r, but this movement range is limited to the mounting positions of the stoppers 25a and 25b. It can be changed by In addition, the flexible support member 15
The two relatively rotating members disposed between the tip 15a and the top of the column are a cylindrical fixing member 13 fixed to the top of the column and a hollow cylindrical rotating member 14 individually defined at the tip 15a. However, conversely, a hollow cylindrical member is fixed to the top of the column 11, and the cylindrical member fixed to the tip 15a is rotatable with respect to this hollow cylindrical member. It may be an inserted structure.
