本発明は塵埃を荷電し、これを電気的に吸着し
て集塵する空気清浄用の電気集塵機に係り、その
目的とするところは集塵効率の高い電気集塵機を

であるが、含塵空気中の塵埃は複数組の対向電極
7と放電極8及び補助対向電極9間に高圧電源を
印加し、放電線8の周囲で発生するイオンが対向
電極7と略同電位の補助対向電極9に向かつてシ
ヤワー状に照射される際に荷電される。荷電され
た塵埃はさらに後方に設けられた誘電体フイルタ
ー10によつて吸着される。この際に放電線8と
対向電極7及び補助対向電極9はこの順にそれぞ
れ前記前面グリル14の開口部15を挟んで片側
に対向電極17と放電線18が、他の片側に補助
対向電極19が位置するように、前面グリル4の
閉口部11後方に設けられていることによつて直
接含塵空気にさらされないために長時間の使用に
対しても塵埃の付着が少なく安定に動作する。し
かしこの第1図に示す構成の電気集塵機では構造
上の寸法が適正でないと十分な効果を発揮しな

極22と略同電位の補助対向電極で、互いに対向
し合う放電線21と対向電極22と補助対向電極
23とで一組の荷電部24が構成され、図面に示
す実施例では上下方向に3つの荷電部24………
を有している。25はこれら荷電部24………の
後方に設けられた誘電体フイルターである。とこ
ろで前記放電線21と補助対向電極23との間の
距離をYとし、このYを変えていつたときの集塵
効率の変化を測定し以下の結論を得た。尚他の構
