It is configured to apply a pulse obtained by differentiating a rectangular wave from the other end as a power supply, and the applied frequency or the amplitude of the end resistance or power supply voltage is changed in proportion to the amount of change to be displayed, thereby providing an analog display. A display device designed to perform this has already been developed by the present applicant and filed as Patent Application No. 3533 in 1978.

A pulse obtained by converting and differentiating this is applied. Then, the liquid crystal effect appears up to the point where the voltage sequentially charged to each display element section from the voltage application side becomes the threshold voltage of the liquid crystal, and obtaining an analog display in the a 1 , b 1 , c 1 . . . section is the first step. As described in the explanation of FIG. 1, in the present invention, specific numerical values are further displayed at important points using numerical electrodes b 2 , d 2 . . . to improve instantaneous visibility.
