けてあるので、換気と逆の通路で雨水が棟部内に
吹込むことがないという利点があり、又、棟本体
の各々の端部外周に継手の端部内周を重複させて
いるので、まず棟本体を並べた後、棟継手だけを
並べてゆくことができて作業能率が良く、更に、
形状に方向性がないので両端に取付けられる鬼瓦
の種類が一種で良いものである。更に、棟本体と
棟継手とから構成しているので、部材の一層の小
寸法化を図れ、また棟継手を棟本体間に配設して
いるから、棟本体や棟継手をユニツト化したにも
拘わらず、連続的に配設された棟本体の継ぎ目が
棟継手で覆われ、棟本体の継ぎ目から雨水などが
浸入する恐れがなく、確実な防水を行えるという
