本発明はフアクシミリ等の情報蓄積変換装置に

とが可能であり、また、上記情報蓄積変換装置相
互間ではフアクシミリ等の情報を冗長度抑圧符号
化した状態でデイジタル情報としてデータ回線に
より短時間で伝送し得るので、電話網に収容され
た遠距離の2つのフアクシミリ端末間の情報伝送
を、冗長度抑圧符号化しない状態で行なうに比し
著しく短時間で可能となり、長距離に亘る電話回
線を長時間保留する必要がなく、長距離伝送のコ
ストの低減が可能となる等の利点を有する。従つ
てこのような従来なかつた情報蓄積変換装置が要
望されるが、この装置には、端末(回線)の制御
を行なう装置、冗長度抑圧符号化および伸張復号
化装置、大容量記憶装置等を必要とし、その処理
が多岐に渉る。このような処理が多岐に渉る装置
に対して従来一般に行なわれているようにこれ等
各装置の制御を中央処理部で行なえばその処理量
が多くなり、また、中央処理部の処理負荷を軽減
するため、実時間性が要求される処理あるいは制
御が煩雑な処理はワイヤード・ロツジクにより実
現し、各装置相互間に渉る比較的高度な処理は中
央処理部で実行することも従来から知られている
が、このようにすると要求される処理が複雑化す
るに従つてワイヤード・ロジツク部分の金物量が

た情報に対するバツフアを設け、上記の各装置を
互に独立なプログラムにより分散制御して動作さ
せることにより、金物量を減少させまた中央処理

長度抑圧符号化された情報を格納する受信側バツ
フア部、該受信側バツフア部に格納された情報の
転送を受けてこれを記憶することが可能な冗長度
抑圧符号化されたフアクシミリ等の情報を記憶す
る大容量補助記憶部、該大容量補助記憶部に記憶
された情報の転送を受けてこれを格納する送信側
バツフア部、および該バツフア部に格納されてい
る情報を冗長度伸張復号化して指示された回線に
送出する冗長度伸張復号化部を具備し、かつ、上
記受信用トーナル信号制御部用プロセツサと、上
記送信用トーナル信号制御部用プロセツサと、上
記冗長度抑圧符号化部および上記受信側バツフア
部用プロセツサと、上記冗長度伸張復号化部およ
び上記送信側バツフア部用プロセツサとを設け、
上記各プロセツサは互に独立なプログラムにより
