た媒体の有無を検知する。A1,A2は媒体挿入口
より挿入された媒体がセツトされたことを検出す
ると、後述するように駆動ローラR11が駆動され
て媒体Bを印字部の所定位置まで送る。Nは印字
部であつて、プラテレG,印字ヘツドH,インク
リボンL,印字制御部Mを具え、媒体の所定の印
字領域に印字を行う。

R41に密着状態となると媒体通路Tより退避す
る。従つて挿入口Iより挿入された印字媒体Bは
駆動ローラR11とピンチローラR12に狭まれて給送
される。又センサA1,A2により媒体が検出され
ると同時に入出力制御部C1から磁気ヘツド駆動
部HDに磁気情報読取り指令が送られるため、磁
気ヘツドHは駆動部HDの駆動を受けて媒体通路
を移動中の印字媒体に記録されている磁気情報の
読取りを行う。この読取り信号は磁気ヘツドHか
ら増幅器Z1で増幅され、入出力制御部C1、デバ
イス制御部C3経由で図示しない情報読取り部へ
送られ情報の読取りが行われる。そして媒体がセ
ンサA3により検出されると、この検出信号は入
出力制御部C1を介してデバイス制御部C3へ入力
する。デバイス制御部C3では、先に入力された
データに基いてこのデバイス制御部C3に内蔵さ
れているカウンタにセツト行数が入力され、この
入力値に基いてデバイス制御部C3からは入出力
制御部C1を介して、モータ制御部MCへ駆動指令
が出力され、この駆動指令を受けて、モータ制御
部MCからモータ駆動部MDへモータ駆動信号が
出力され、モータは回転を開始する。このモータ
の回転により、印字媒体Bは印字部側へ給送され
るが、この媒体の送り量は前記デバイス制御部
C3のカウンタの計数値で定まる。そして印字媒
体が規定量印字部側へ送られると、デバイス制御
部C3の指令によりモータMの回転が停止し、続
いてデバイス制御部C3から印字制御部C1へ印字
指令が送られ、印字制御部C2はこの印字指令を
受けて印字部の印字ヘツドに駆動信号を送出し、
