(Function) According to the device of the present invention, the lid body is first placed over the opening edge of a pressure-resistant container such as a glass container containing an object such as food so that the lid packing member comes into contact with the opening edge. Then, the top seal piece is placed on the concave surface of the lid, and the suction head is set so as to surround the concave surface. Next, by operating the vacuum pump on the main body and holding the suction head slightly pressed against the lid, the air inside the container is rapidly exhausted from the inlet of the suction chamber, creating a vacuum state. The upper seal piece, which is housed in the concave portion of the lid and closes the through hole, floats up in the concave portion as a result of vacuum suction, thereby opening the through hole.

Then, the deaeration plug of the suction head is loosened to release the adsorption state of the suction head to the lid. At this time, a pressure difference occurs between the inside of the container and the outside air, and the upper seal piece of the concave portion of the lid is strongly attracted to the through hole, thereby tightly closing and sealing the through hole.

That is, the suction chamber 31 has an intake port 32 that communicates with the intake hose 22 and a deaeration port 33 that can be opened and closed, and is provided with a head packing 39 in close contact with the top surface of the lid 12 at its lower part.
The intake port 32 is a cylindrical portion 3 protruding into the chamber 31.
2a. Reference numeral 32b is the notch. The deaeration port 33 is always sealed by a gasket 36 of the deaeration plug 35 via the cylindrical portion 33a. By rotating and loosening the degassing plug 35, a slight gap is formed between the gasket 36 and the edge of the cylindrical portion 33a, and air enters through the degassing port 33, degassing the inside of the suction chamber 31. As a result, the adsorption state of the suction head 30 to the lid 12 is released.
