る。 In recent years, from the standpoint of safety, elastic bumpers (here corner bumpers) made of soft synthetic resin, etc., as shown in Fig. 1, have been installed on both corners of a metal bumper body as bumpers for automobiles. ing. Conventionally, the mounting structure for this type of elastic bumper is as shown in FIG.
Generally, bolts 54 protruding from the bumper main body 51 are inserted into the mounting holes 21 of the bumper main body 20 on the vehicle body side and screwed onto nuts 22 to fix the bumper main body 51.
In order to prevent local distortion during the installation of the elastic bumper 50 and to increase shock mitigation due to deformation of the elastic bumper, a mounting portion 52 is provided protruding from the metal support 53 as shown in the figure, and the mounting bolts 54 are provided. The elastic bumper main body 51 and the bumper main body 2 are

な面もある。 That is, first, the first metal support 53 and the metal attachment part 52 are formed by forming a metal plate into a predetermined shape by press molding or the like, and then welding it at a predetermined position. Variations in molding, slight misalignment when welding the two, and variation when fixing the mounting bolts often cause the positional relationship of the mounting bolts to be out of alignment, which significantly impedes the efficiency of this work. ing. Second, when the bumper body is integrally molded using a mold using the above-mentioned metal portion as an insert, the portion 53a of the metal support 53 provided with the metal mounting portion 52 becomes a floating portion within the cavity of the mold. However, there is a risk that deformation may occur due to the injection pressure during injection of raw materials. For this purpose, the portion 53 of the metal support 53
Although a small hole 55 is made in the hole 55 so that the raw material can pass into the attachment part 52, there is still a risk of deformation in this case as well. Thirdly, since the metal mounting portion 52 is assembled to the metal support 53, there is a drawback that the total weight of the bumper 50 itself becomes heavy, and the number of man-hours required for each molding process, assembly, etc. is uneconomical. There are also aspects.

The elastic bumper 10 for an automobile according to the present invention is an automobile bumper made of rubber or synthetic resin, in which a metal support having an attachment portion to a vehicle body side member is integrally formed on the back surface of the bumper body. The metal support and the bumper body are integrally formed with a part recessed toward the vehicle body to form a mounting recess, and a filler having substantially the same shape as the recess is inserted into the recess. It is characterized by the fact that
That is, as shown in the figure, in this elastic bumper 10 for an automobile, a metal support 13 is embedded integrally on the back side of a bumper body 11 made of an elastic body of rubber or synthetic resin. The metal support 13 is made of a single plate having almost the same shape as the bumper body 11, and has mounting bolts 15 at predetermined positions on the support 13.

A filling 12 having substantially the same shape as the shape a is inserted. The filling 12 is preferably made of a material that is the same as or compatible with the rubber or synthetic resin that constitutes the bumper body 11. The filling 12 is molded integrally with the bumper body 11.

The metal support body 13 and the mounting bolt 15 to be used as the insert can be fixed to the device. Then, the filling 12 is fitted into the recess 13a of the metal support 13. When inserting the filler 12, if necessary, it may be fixed to the bottom of the recess 13a with adhesive or double-sided adhesive tape, or a protrusion or the like may be provided in the recess of the metal support 13 and the filler 12 may be press-fitted. It's okay. Here, the filling 12 is simultaneously molded using the same raw material in the same mold as the molding mold 30 for the elastic bumper body 11. That is, by connecting the runner 34 connected to the filling molding cavity 35 to the runner 33 of the molding die 30 of the bumper body, a molded product of the filling 12 can be obtained at the same time as the bumper body 11 is molded. If the thus obtained molded stuffing 12 is sequentially inserted into the recess 13a of the metal support 13 and integrally molded when molding the bumper body from next time onwards, the bumper can be molded extremely efficiently. becomes possible.

ものである。 As described above, in the elastic bumper for automobiles according to the present invention, there is no need to weld the metal attachment part to the metal support as in the conventional case, and the recess is formed directly in the metal support to serve as the attachment part. Firstly, the above-mentioned error factors in positional relationships are removed, making it possible to quickly obtain dimensionally accurate products.Secondly, the weight is reduced, and thirdly, work is simplified by simplifying the work process. It is possible to significantly improve efficiency and save raw materials. In addition, since the bumper body is integrally molded with a filler inserted into the recess of the metal support, the inner thickness of the bumper body is almost constant.
There is no fear of sink marks on the surface. Furthermore, in the method for manufacturing an automobile bumper according to the present invention, since the filling material is molded from the same material as the bumper body and in the same mold at the same time, the compatibility between the filling material and the bumper body is improved. This not only ensures the safety of the user, but also greatly simplifies the work process, making it possible to proceed with work extremely efficiently.
