The present invention relates to a toothpaste that has an excellent effect on curing alveolar pyorrhea. Conventional toothpastes contain 30-50% of calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, magnesium carbonate, and other powder bases for toothpaste, and 1-3% of binders such as gum tragacanth, sodium alginate, methylcellulose, carboxymethylcellulose, bentonite, and others.
%, detergents such as sodium lauric sulfate and other surfactants, 1-2%, saccharine and other sweeteners.
0.05-2%, menthol, peppermint, wintergreen, thymol and other fragrances 0.8-2
%, water, 35-60% of glycerin, sorbitol, glycol and other humectants, an appropriate amount of pigment, chlorophyll, fluorine compounds and other agents to form a paste. It is mainly useful for physically cleaning the tooth surface with a base, cleaning the teeth and oral cavity with the cleaning action of a detergent such as a surfactant, removing bad breath with drugs, etc., and preventing cavities, etc. There is hardly anything that has been found to have a satisfactory effect on gum diseases. The present invention uses a special highly stable emulsion obtained by emulsifying olive oil, colloidal magnesia, and titanium oxide in the presence of a nonionic surfactant as a powder base for toothpaste and other formulations. It has a very remarkable curing effect on alveolar pyorrhea disease, which cannot be cured by conventional tooth brushing, and can be easily produced. To explain an example below, the emulsion blended into the toothpaste consists of a predetermined amount of olive oil and a nonionic surfactant, such as polyoxyethylene monostearate, sorbitan monostearate, sorbitan monolaurate, and sorbita monooleate. and if necessary, an appropriate amount of stearic acid, and if the stearic acid is added, the mixture is heated appropriately, stirred, and mixed with colloidal magnesia (using a known method such as 80°C or higher). This is a colloidal liquid of magnesium hydroxide produced by adding and stirring magnesium oxide and citric acid to heated water and applying it to an emulsifier. The composition is, for example, 7-15% magnesium oxide, 0.02-0.03% citric acid, and about 85% water. ~93%) and titanium oxide in predetermined amounts, respectively, are added, heated to an appropriate temperature, e.g. 60 to 80°C, and continued stirring until a stable emulsification is achieved, and the emulsification is complete. The mixture is then cooled to room temperature or below room temperature using ice water or the like as needed while stirring. This emulsion has extremely good stability, and no change occurs even if it is left as is for 6 months. Add the required amount of the emulsion formed as above to a mixture containing the required amounts of calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, magnesium carbonate, and other toothpaste powder bases, binders, fragrances, pigments, drugs, etc., and knead well to obtain a uniform consistency. Form into a paste-like toothpaste. The above powder base, binder, fragrance, pigment,
The mixing ratio of drugs, etc. may be selected as appropriate, for example, 1 part of the powder base to 0 to 0.2 of each of the other ingredients.
A small amount is sufficient. The blending ratio of the emulsion and the above-mentioned mixture varies depending on the concentration, components, etc. of the emulsion, but it is sufficient as long as the emulsion is added to the mixture and kneaded to form a desired paste. The toothpaste produced as described above had good stability, and no separation of water or other liquids occurred even after a long period of time. This toothpaste is supplied to the market in a predetermined amount in a suitable package. This toothpaste can be used in the same way as conventional toothpaste, and is not only particularly effective for patients with alveolar pyorrhea, but also has an excellent tooth cleaning effect that is no different from conventional toothpaste. Example 1 Strong Millimag (trade name of colloidal magnesia) (magnesium oxide 9.0g, citric acid 0.03g,
Add 5 g of finely powdered titanium oxide to 100 g of sol (consisting of 90.97 g of water) and stir to make a homogeneous mixture. Separately polyoxyethylene monostearate 5
g, 100 g of olive oil, 5 g of stearic acid, and a small amount of water, heated and stirred, added the above mixture, heated to a temperature of about 65 to 70 degrees Celsius, and stirred for about 30 to 40 minutes. Continue to emulsify homogeneously,
Cool to room temperature or below using ice water while stirring to obtain a stable emulsion. To 87 parts of this emulsion (same weight), add 10 parts of calcium carbonate fine powder (approximately 20μ or less), 1 part of chlorophyll, and 2 parts of menthol dissolved in a small amount of alcohol, and mix well to make a homogeneous mixture. I got a paste-like toothpaste. The obtained toothpaste was used on 25 patients with alveolar pyorrhea with symptoms as indicated, and the results are shown in the following table. In the above toothpaste application test, each patient was asked to brush their teeth three times a day (before breakfast, after lunch, and after dinner), and each time, the toothpaste of the present invention was applied to a dry toothbrush and a conventional commercially available toothpaste was applied. Brush your teeth continuously in the same way as when brushing your teeth, and the conventional subjective discomfort symptoms (discoloration of the gum margins, easy bleeding, discharge of pus, swelling, strange sensations, etc.) disappear. This is the result of confirming the state of healing by having the patient consult a dentist once he or she realizes that the patient has healed. All of the above-mentioned patients with alveolar pyorrhea had been regular users of commercially available products for many years prior to the application test of the toothpaste of the present invention, and the application method was almost the same as in the above test.

The effect was extremely significant. In addition, these patients continued to use this toothpaste in the same manner as described above even after healing, and as a result, recurrence was prevented. The reason for this is not clear, but when this toothpaste is used, the highly stable emulsion contained in the toothpaste penetrates through the surface of the gums and between the gums, allowing the active ingredients contained in the emulsion to penetrate through the surface of the gums and between the gums. It is thought that the combined effects of this will promote the physiological activity of the gums, gradually eliminating inflammation and other unpleasant symptoms, and restoring the gums to their normal state. Example 2 An extremely stable emulsion was obtained in the same manner as in Example 1, except that sorbitan monostearate was used instead of polyoxyethylene monostearate. A similar toothpaste was obtained by adding and kneading. Example 3 A substantially similar toothpaste was obtained in the same manner as in Example 1, except that 6 g of sorbitan monolaurate was used instead of polyoxyethylene monostearate.
