Conventionally, this type of ironing board has a pad 2 made of felt or the like placed on a main body 1 made of plywood and covered with a cloth cover 3, as shown in FIG. Some machines have a hole (not shown) in the side of the main body 1, but when ironing, steam stagnates in the space 4 and the main body 1, pad 2, and cloth cover 3 become wetter and wetter. Ironing cannot be done properly because of the things that are mixed in with the iron. In addition, as shown in FIG.
There are also devices in which a pad 2 is placed on top of the pad 2 and covered with a cloth cover 3, or an iron plate with holes punched therein to provide ventilation is used instead of the metal mesh member 6. However, in such a case, the steam that has passed through the pad 2 is stripped of heat by the metal mesh member 6 or the iron plate, becomes water droplets, is absorbed by the pad 2, and moistens the pad 2, or water droplets fall on the floor. As a result, the pressing effect deteriorates and floors, tatami mats, etc. are stained.

The present invention was made in view of these points, and it is possible to maintain the pad in a dry state without using any special equipment, without reducing the pressing effect, and
The purpose is to obtain an ironing board that does not stain floors or tatami mats.

The present invention provides a top plate on which a pad and a cloth cover are placed, a thermally poor conductor having air permeability made of a semi-hard material, and a good thermal conductor made of an air-impermeable hard material and in contact with the outside air. and a back plate are fixed to form a space at a predetermined interval. Therefore, by fixing the top plate, which is a thermally poor conductor, and the back plate, which is a good thermal conductor, to form a space, steam can pass through the top plate and enter the space, and the back plate can remove heat. This makes it possible to keep the water droplets dry without being absorbed by the pad, and the back plate prevents the water droplets from falling on the floor.

An embodiment of the present invention will be explained based on FIG.
7 is a pad body, and this pad body 7 is a top plate 8.
A pad 9 made of breathable felt or the like and a cloth cover 10 are sequentially laminated. The top plate 8 is made of a semi-hard material such as wood and is a thermally poor conductor, and has a large number of ventilation holes 11 formed therein. A back plate 13 is fixed to the top plate 8 so as to form spaces 12 at predetermined intervals. This back plate 13 is made of a good thermal conductor made of an impermeable hard material such as an iron plate. A hole 1 for draining water is provided at one end of the bottom of this back plate 13.
4 is formed. Note that 15 is a support leg.

In such a configuration, when ironing is performed, steam passes through the pad body 7 and flows into the space 1.
2 and hits the back plate 13, which is a good thermal conductor, and heat is removed therefrom, turning into water droplets. Therefore, the steam does not turn into water droplets on the top plate 8, and the pad 9 does not get wet. Therefore, the pad 9 is maintained in a dry state, and its breathability is reduced when the pad 9 gets wet, unlike in the conventional case. When pressing in a wet state and finishing the work of creating creases and smoothing out wrinkles, the object to be pressed becomes dry and the creases and other wrinkles remain well, improving the pressing effect. At the same time, the steam is
The water droplets become water droplets without stagnation in the hole 1.
Since it can be processed from step 4, there is no need to stain the floor etc.

Note that when setting the spacing between the spaces 12, if the gap is too narrow, the steam will accumulate toward the top plate 8 due to its lightness and will not reach the back plate 13, and if the gap is too wide, the steam will not reach the back plate 13. Since it takes a certain amount of time for the steam to become water droplets and the space 12 is filled with steam, reducing the pressing effect, the spacing range of the space 12 is determined by the pressure of the steam from the iron. At the same time, there are two types of steam irons currently on the market: pressure cooker type and drip type. The former uses high steam pressure, while the latter uses water droplets on a heated iron plate to evaporate. Since this steam is used, the pressure of the steam is lower than that of the former method, but consideration should be given to ensuring that there are no problems in use with either of these methods.

In this embodiment, the bottom of the back plate 13 is in a horizontal state, but it may be slightly inclined so that the hole 14 side is lower. Further, a container for collecting water droplets may be removably provided at the position of this hole 14 to improve the processing performance of water droplets. Furthermore, a plurality of cooling fins or the like may be attached to the outer surface of the back plate 13 to further improve the conversion of steam into water droplets.

In the present invention, as described above, the top plate made of a thermally poor conductor and the back plate made of a good thermal conductor are fixed to form a space at a predetermined interval, so that steam can pass through the top plate and enter the space. The back plate that comes in contact with the outside air can be used to form water droplets, which prevents the pad from getting wet and prevents steam from stagnating in the space, thereby improving the pressing effect.
Moreover, it has the effect that water droplets on the back plate do not fall onto the floor or the like and make a mess.
