Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、縫い糸の機能を果す合成樹脂あるい
はそれに準じた材質の釘状の針によつて各種繊
維、合成樹脂、皮革、紙などの布状、膜状、板
状、網状の被加工物を縫合するための縫合装置に
関する。
典型的な先行技術は上下糸もしくは上糸の糸か
らみによる連続縫合を達成する工業用ミシンであ
る。このような先行技術では上下運動をする針に
よつて一針ずつ長い距離を縫合している。したが
つて確実な縫合を達成するためには作業者の高度
の熟練と注意力が要求される。しかも細い針によ
つて縫合を行なうために被加工物が複数枚積み重
ねられたり、厚手の皮革や固い合成樹脂膜などで
あるときは針に負担がかかつて針が折れたり、屈
曲したりして縫合作業に手間どり、また被加工物
の縫い目部を損傷することも多かつた。
このような問題を解決するための典型的な先行
技術は、特開昭55―138491に示されている。この
先行技術では、縫い糸の機能を果す樹脂針が逆U
字状に形成されたステープル状であり、この樹脂
針の脚部を被加工物に挿通するように構成され
る。
この先行技術の新たな問題は、被加工物が厚手
であるときには、樹脂針の脚部がその被加工物を
挿通することができず、したがつて縫い目が形成
されないことである。
本発明の目的は、厚手の被加工物を樹脂針によ
つて縫合することができるように改良した縫い糸
の機能を果す樹脂針を用いる縫合装置を提供する
ことである。
本発明は、分厚い被加工物たとえば皮革または
硬質の合成樹脂などを縫合するための縫い糸の機
能を果す樹脂針を用いる縫合装置であつて、被加
工物が載せられて受けられるように構成されるベ
ツドと、 ベツドの上方に固定的に配置された剛性のアー
ムと、 アームの一端に一体的に取付けられた外筒と、 外筒の軸線に沿つて外筒内で摺動可能である内
筒であつて、その内筒の下端にはベツド状の被加
工物をそのベツドに向けて押圧するための外方に
拡がつた被加工物押圧手段を有している、そのよ
うな内筒と、 外筒と内筒との間に協働して設けられた内筒移
動手段であつて、内筒を外筒と相対的にかつ選択
的に上下に移動させるための手段であり、この内
筒は被加工物押圧手段がベツドから間隔をあけて
設けられている上位置と、被加工物押圧手段がベ
ツドに被加工物を押圧する下位置との間で移動
し、この内筒移動手段は内筒の外壁に形成された
第1のラツクと、第1ラツクに噛合い外筒に回転
可能に設けられた第1ピニオンと、第1ピニオン
を回転するための第1レバーとを含み、これによ
つて第1ラツクと内筒とが上下方向に移動する、
そのような内筒移動手段と、 内筒内に摺動可能に設けられた案内筒であつ
て、その下端は鋭い端部を規定するように傾斜さ
れた外面をそれぞれ有する2つの横に間隔をあけ
て設けられた下方に延びる部材によつて規定され
ており、この外筒はその内部に前記鋭い端部間に
上下に延びる通路を有している、そのような案内
筒と、 内筒と外筒とに協働して設けられる案内筒移動
手段であつて、内筒に関して案内筒を選択的に上
下に移動し、この案内筒は前記鋭い端部が被加工
物を突き抜けて小孔を形成する下位置と、こうし
て小孔が形成された被加工物の上方に前記鋭い端
部を上昇する上位置との間で移動し、この案内筒
移動手段は案内筒の外壁に形成された第2ラツク
と、第2ラツクに噛合い内筒に回転可能に支持さ
れた第2ピニオンと、第2ピニオンを回転するた
めの第2レバーとを含み、これによつて第2ラツ
クと案内筒を上下方向に移動することができる、
そのような案内筒移動手段と、 樹脂針供給手段であつて、逆U字状の樹脂針を
列をなして収納され、外筒、内筒および案内筒を
通つて前記上下に延びる通路から順次的に樹脂針
を供給する樹脂針供給手段と、 前記上下に延びる通路内に設けられ、案内筒の
軸線に沿つて摺動するように設けられた樹脂針駆
動手段と、 前記剛性のアームに装着され、樹脂針駆動手段
に協働して設けられる駆動手段であつて、樹脂針
駆動手段を前記上下に延びる通路内で下方に移動
し、これによつて前記上下に延びる通路内に位置
している最も端の樹脂針を下方に駆動し、その樹
脂針の脚部を前記案内筒の鋭くされた端部によつ
て前以て形成されている小孔内に挿通させる、そ
のような駆動手段と、 樹脂針駆動手段と並んでベツドの表面に形成さ
れ、樹脂針の端部を押圧して変形させるための凹
所を有するプレス型とを含むことを特徴とする縫
い糸の機能を果す樹脂針を用いる縫合装置であ
る。
第1図は本発明の縫合装置11の側面図であ
り、第2図はその正面図である。縫合装置11は
基本的にはアーム8とベツド12から構成されて
いる。縫合装置11には動力源として動力装置5
が内蔵され、アーム8の先端には外筒4が一体的
に装着される。外筒4には内筒17が内包され、
内筒17には案内筒30が内包されている。案内
筒30内部を針押し棒3が動力装置5によつて動
力伝達装置6を介して案内筒30の軸線方向に滑
動する機構となつている。針押し棒3はベツド1
2に向けて近接方向・離反方向に往復運動をする
ことができ、このような運動は動力装置5と動力
伝達装置6との協働によつて達成することができ
る。
第3図はアーム8の先端付近の断面を示す拡大
側面図であり、第4図は第3図の切断面線―
から見た一部断面図である。アーム8の先端に装
着された外筒4には大略的に筒状の内筒17が外
筒4の軸線方向に摺嵌している。内筒17のベツ
ド12方向の一端には外向きフランジ16が形成
されており、内筒17がベツド12方向に下降し
たとき、外向きフランジ16によつてベツド12
上の被加工物2を押えることができる。内筒17
には大略的に筒状の案内筒30が内包されてい
る。案内筒30のベツド12方向の一端30aは
逆U字状に形成されており、金属製の脚部32,
33の先端34,35は尖鋭な釘状に形成されて
いる。案内筒30をベツド12に向つて下降する
とその先端34,35がベツド12上の被加工物
2に打ち込まれて、被加工物2を貫通する。
このような案内筒30には切欠部Pが設けられ
ており、この切欠部Pに樹脂針供給装置9が装着
されている。この装置9では、多数の樹脂針1を
1列に配して収納する筒体23内において、ばね
10が押片18を介して樹脂針1を内筒17に向
けて常時弾発付勢している。これによつて案内筒
30内には樹脂針1が常に補給されるようになつ
ている。
案内筒30に内包された針押し棒3の中心線上
のベツド12表面には、プレス型15が装着され
ている。プレス型15には案内筒30の針通路3
1下端に臨む型凹所15aが設けられている。型
凹所15aはその縦断面が大略的にW字状に形成
されている。なおプレス型15は第1図示の加熱
装置13,14によつて適時加熱される。
再び第1図を参照して内筒17の外壁にはその
軸線方向に延びるラツク25が形成されている。
このラツク25の噛合うピニオン26は外筒4に
枢支されており、ピニオン26はハンドル7の操
作によつて回動される。このピニオン26の回動
によつてラツク25が昇降し、したがつて内筒1
7が昇降してベツド12に近接・離反することが
できる。また内筒17に内包される案内筒30に
は、その軸線方向に延びるラツク27が形成され
ている。このラツク27に噛合うピニオン28は
内筒17に枢支されており、ピニオン28はハン
ドル29の操作によつて回動される。これによつ
て案内筒30は内筒17内部を昇降して、ベツド
12に近接・離反することができる。
第5図は本発明を実施するための作動過程を示
したものである。第1動作ステツプとして、ベツ
ド12の上に被加工物2を載せる。しかる後、レ
バー7によつて外筒4内の内筒17を摺動して被
加工物2を外向きフランジ16によつて押える。
次いでレバー29によつて内筒17内の案内筒3
0を下方に摺動して、第5図1に示されるように
案内筒30の先端31,32を被加工物2に打ち
込む。
第2動作ステツプとして、レバー29によつて
案内筒30を上方に摺動して、案内筒30の先端
31,32を被加工物2の下方から上方に戻す。
したがつて被加工物2には第5図2に示されるよ
うな小孔2a,2bが形成される。
第3動作ステツプとして、針押し棒3によつて
樹脂針1の先端19,20を下降させて、被加工
物2の小孔2a,2bに挿通する。このときの動
作状態が第5図3に示される。樹脂針1の先端1
9,20は針押し棒3によつてさらに下降され
て、ベツド12表面のプレス型15に押し付けら
れる。このため第5図4に示されるように樹脂針
1の先端19,20はプレス型15の型凹所15
a中を滑つて曲げられる。
第4動作ステツプとして、第5図5に示される
ように樹脂針1の先端19,20は型凹所15a
内で相重なり、針押し棒3によつてさらに圧力が
加えられる。しかる後、樹脂針1の先端19,2
0は、プレス型15の型凹所15a中央付近に内
蔵された加熱装置13,14によつて適時加熱さ
れて溶融し、最終的には樹脂針1は第5図6に示
されるようなリング状の縫い目21となる。
前記動作過程が一点順次または多点同時に行な
われると前記リング状の縫い目21が1つあるい
は多数形成されて被加工物2を縫い合せることが
できる。ここにいう多点同時とは、(1)多数の縫い
目を同時に形成し、これらの縫い目が相互に隣接
して単一線状に連続しており、これによつて縫合
される場合や、(2)樹脂針1に刺繍などの用途に用
いることのできる模様が形成されていて、このよ
うな模様を複数の所定箇所に同時に設ける場合を
含む。このような多点同時の縫合作業は、単数あ
るいは複数の縫合装置11を曲線上、直線上に並
べ、あるいは点の集合として配列し、各点で同時
または順次に被加工物2を縫合することによつて
行なうことができる。
樹脂針あるいはこれに準じた材質の針1は本発
明の実施例においては、結果として針の先端を変
形加工し、一般に使用されている糸の機能を果す
ものである。針の材料としては着色可能な合成樹
脂を用いることができる。またその樹脂針1の形
状としては、前記実施例における逆U字型に限定
されず、この他凸型、クギ型、ピン型、リベツト
型、棒型などが第6図1〜6に示されている。か
かる縫合の達成はベツド12のプレス型12、ア
ーム8の先端の案内筒30および針押し棒3の構
成を変化させることによつて可能となる。
第6図1,2では予め単一棒状の先端の尖鋭な
樹脂針35,36が、被加工物2を貫通した後、
貫通した針35,36の端部が加熱変形され、リ
ベツト状にして縫合が達成された例が示されてい
る。第6図3〜5では逆U字状の針37,38,
39が被加工物を貫通した後、その貫通した各端
部を加熱変形して縫合を行なつた例であり、それ
らの変形加工された端部は相互に分離している。
第6図6では針40は刺繍をするために用いられ
る。
このように樹脂針1の形状が棒型、ピン型、ク
ギ型などであつてもアーム8の先端の案内筒30
や針押し棒3などの構造を変化させることによつ
て第6図1〜6を実施例に従う縫合が可能とな
る。
以上のように本発明によれば、被加工物の樹脂
針の先端が貫通する箇所と同一の箇所に、あらか
じめ小孔を設けることによつて、厚手の皮革や固
めの布などであつても樹脂針を何ら抵抗なく被加
工物に打ち込むことができ、樹脂針が折れたり、
屈曲する心配がない。したがつて本件縫合装置を
用いることによつて作業効率を高めて、円滑な縫
合を達成することができる。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1 分厚い被加工物たとえば皮革または硬質の合
    成樹脂などを縫合するための縫い糸の機能を果す
    樹脂針を用いる縫合装置であつて、被加工物が載
    せられて受けられるように構成されるベツドと、 ベツドの上方に固定的に配置された剛性のアー
    ムと、 アームの一端に一体的に取付けられた外筒と、 外筒の軸線に沿つて外筒内で摺動可能である内
    筒であつて、その内筒の下端にはベツド状の被加
    工物をそのベツドに向けて押圧するための外方に
    拡がつた被加工物押圧手段を有している、そのよ
    うな内筒と、 外筒と内筒との間に協働して設けられた内筒移
    動手段であつて、内筒を外筒と相対的にかつ選択
    的に上下に移動させるための手段であり、この内
    筒は被加工物押圧手段がベツドから間隔をあけて
    設けられている上位置と、被加工物押圧手段がベ
    ツドに被加工物を押圧する下位置との間で移動
    し、この内筒移動手段は内筒の外壁に形成された
    第1のラツクと、第1ラツクに噛合い外筒に回転
    可能に設けられた第1ピニオンと、第1ピニオン
    を回転するための第1レバーとを含み、これによ
    つて第1ラツクと内筒とが上下方向に移動する、
    そのような内筒移動手段と、 内筒内に摺動可能に設けられた案内筒であつ
    て、その下端は鋭い端部を規定するように傾斜さ
    れた外面をそれぞれ有する2つの横に間隔をあけ
    て設けられた下方に延びる部材によつて規定され
    ており、この外筒はその内部に前記鋭い端部間に
    上下に延びる通路を有している、そのような案内
    筒と、 内筒と外筒とに協働して設けられる案内筒移動
    手段であつて、内筒に関して案内筒を選択的に上
    下に移動し、この案内筒は前記鋭い端部が被加工
    物を突き抜けて小孔を形成する下位置と、こうし
    て小孔が形成された被加工物の上方に前記鋭い端
    部を上昇する上位置との間で移動し、この案内筒
    移動手段は案内筒の外壁に形成された第2ラツク
    と、第2ラツクに噛合い内筒に回転可能に支持さ
    れた第2ピニオンと、第2ピニオンを回転するた
    めの第2レバーとを含み、これによつて第2ラツ
    クと案内筒を上下方向に移動することができる、
    そのような案内筒移動手段と、 樹脂針供給手段であつて、逆U字状の樹脂針を
    列をなして収納され、外筒、内筒および案内筒を
    通つて前記上下に延びる通路から順次的に樹脂針
    を供給する樹脂針供給手段と、 前記上下に延びる通路内に設けられ、案内筒の
    軸線に沿つて摺動するように設けられた樹脂針駆
    動手段と、 前記剛性のアームに装着され、樹脂針駆動手段
    に協働して設けられる駆動手段であつて、樹脂針
    駆動手段を前記上下に延びる通路内で下方に移動
    し、これによつて前記上下に延びる通路内に位置
    している最も端の樹脂針を下方に駆動し、その樹
    脂針の脚部を前記案内筒の鋭くされた端部によつ
    て前以て形成されている小孔内に挿通させる、そ
    のような駆動手段と、 樹脂針駆動手段と並んでベツドの表面に形成さ
    れ、樹脂針の端部を押圧して変形させるための凹
    所を有するプレス型とを含むことを特徴とする縫
    い糸の機能を果す樹脂針を用いる縫合装置。
