る。 Conventionally known dot matrix printers using thin plate dot printing elements can collectively guide the dot printing elements stacked in the thickness direction of the plate with one guide body, contributing to the simplification of the structure of the dot matrix printer. However, since the majority of adjacent dot printing elements are in direct contact with each other, the operation of the dot printing elements is hindered by frictional force, and the printing elements themselves may be deflected during operation. There were some inconveniences. In view of the above-mentioned conventional defects, this invention was proposed in order to solve the above problems. In a thin plate laminated dot matrix printer, both ends of the rectangular printing element are left, and the longitudinal direction of the rectangular printing element is A printing element for a dot matrix printer characterized by having a notch on one side that is deeper than the center line. This is what we intend to provide.

Reference numeral 1 denotes a dot printing element formed of a thin plate, and an engaging portion 2 of this dot printing element 1 engages with an armature 4 of an electromagnet 3. Therefore, when the electromagnet 3 receives a control current and the armature 4 is displaced in the left-right direction in FIG. 1, the dot printing element 1 is displaced in its own longitudinal direction (left-right direction in FIG. 1). The printing unit 5 makes dots on the printing paper. By the way, this dot printing element is provided with front and rear end portions 6, 6 guided by a guide body 8, and the intermediate portion 7 is cut out deeper than the longitudinal center line A. Therefore, the printing element 1 is placed on either the left or right side (upper side in FIG. 1) with respect to the center line.
Formed so as to be biased toward Therefore, the required number of printing elements 1 thus formed are stacked in the thickness direction as shown in FIG. 2 to form a dot matrix printer. The intermediate portions 7, 7 of the adjacent dot printing elements 1, 1 can be made to be offset to the left and right opposite sides with respect to the main axis A. Moreover, the amount of deviation of the intermediate portion 7 is determined so that each of the dot printing elements 1, 1, . Further, the stacked dot printing elements 1, 1, . . . are restrained at their front and rear ends 6, 6, respectively, by guide bodies 8, 8 so that they can be displaced only in the front and back direction.

なこともないのである。 The printing element according to the present invention can be configured as described above, so that when a specific electromagnet 3 is excited by receiving a control current, a specific dot printing element 1 that engages with this electromagnet 3 is displaced. , a point-scoring motion will be performed. In this way, the dots generated by the control current print desired characters (including symbols, graphs, figures, etc.) on the printing paper, but in this case, the dots formed between the dot printing elements 1,1... The parts 7, 7, . . . operate without contacting each other, and the friction between the plates occurs only in the parts restrained by the guide bodies 8, 8. Therefore, in combination with the effect of reducing the mass of the dot printing element 1 itself, the operation of the dot printing elements 1, 1... becomes extremely light, the power required is also reduced, and the electromagnets 3, 3... are also made smaller, making the dot printing easier. This can contribute to making printers lighter and smaller.
Further, even if the dot printing elements 1, 1... undergo elastic bending deformation during operation, the intermediate portions 7, 7... will not come into contact and interfere with each other's dotting operations, resulting in unsmooth operation. It is.
