上下機構16・前後機構・グリツプ機構18等を
備えている。ベース1上にはレール2,3を保護
するカバー11が、ベース1の両側から対峙し
て、走行台15の上部で上下機構16とシリンダ
13に干渉しないように内方へ折り曲げて固定さ
れている。カバー11は、一枚ものを用いて中央
部を切欠いて使用している。このため移動してい
る走行台15の前後では、対立するカバー11の
間にレール2,3を覆うことができない広いすき
ま19,20が生じる。また、仮りに第2図の如
く、レールの両内側にカバー7′を設けても、カ
バー7′の上端とカバー11の上部とにすきまが
生じる。従つて、これらのすきまより粉塵・油
類、ゴミ等が入り、レールに付着して走行台の移
動に支障をきたし、工業ロボツト本来の機能を効
率的に生かすことができなくなる。また、走行装
置に故障が起こつたとき、カバーのみを容易には
ずすことが困難になる。さらに、一枚ものとなる
カバーは、全体に大きくなり不経済である。

以下、本発明の実施例を添付図面について説明
する。第3図乃至第5図は本発明の第1の実施例
を示している。図中1はベースであり、ベース1

走行台15は、レール上を移動する。また、ベー
ス1はレール2,3の内外側に、サイドカバー
6,7をレールに沿つて備えている。サイドカバ

り曲げて対向させている。レール方向に沿つたサ
イドカバー6,7の両端は、ベース1上に設けた

て貫通された中空部24をその下面の両側に設
け、かつ補助カバー8,9を設けている。この補
助カバー8,9は、サイドカバー6,7の上面と
走行台15の下面との間隙を横方向に対して遮蓋
するよう設ける。上面カバー5は、対立する両サ
イドカバー間とほぼ同じ巾を有し、例えばフレキ
シブルな材質を用い、走行台15の前記中空部2
4を貫通して、両端がサポート1′にボルト締め
などにより固定される。従つて、走行台15より
離れている上面カバー5は、サイドカバー6,7
の上面Eに接触する。サイドカバー6,7と接触
している上面カバー5は、中空部24の前後にお
いて起き上がるので、間隙Fが生じる。補助カバ
ー8,9は、この間隙Fを塞いでいる。中空部2

第6図は、本発明に係る他の実施例を示す要部の
断面図である。この実施例は、前記の実施例の如
く中空部24を設けていないが、その代わりに支
持部25′,25′と走行台15の下面との間に上
面カバーの入る中空部24′を形成したものであ
る。なお、この場合、支持部25′,25′は、前
記第1の実施例の中空部と同様に、走行台15の
奥行きと同じ長さにするのが望ましい。
